Cut Copy - Lights and Music

Featured Replies

I just found out about this electro-pop Aussie band yesterday and they're already among my top bands of all time - they've got a unique sound with catchy tunes that don't get old. Here's a video for their single "Lights and Music" off their new album:

omg

seriously

they piss me off now

they might make alright music

but their advertisting has become ridiculous

im on hype machine

TRYING to list to music

and their flashplayer advert opens (when you hover the mouse over it)

and it plays this reeeeeeally annoying 32kbps song

WHEN IM TRYING TO LISTEN TO SOMAT ELSE

if i went to on of their gigs

i'd organise for their speakers to be cut

then plug it into a player which plays said 32kbps song

AND SEE HOW THEY LIKE IT

gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

idk just freaking annoys me TTM

rant over.

Well hey it's probably not their fault, it's their advertising agent! I didn't realize they even did any advertising (seeing as how I rarely go to very many music sites) but I agree it's annoying when music starts playing automatically on a website.

Plus I listen to all my music with Sennheiser HD595 headphones, so 32kbps would sound like absolute crap to me.

i had a chance to see them actually but i didnt go since i had othern things on

i've heard the entire cut copy debut album called "In Ghost Colours" and i would strongly recommend it to anyone who likes their electronic music. the song Lights and music started getting solid airplay on alternative music stations and now it is finally catching on, on the commercial stations also have a listen to "Hearts on Fire" and "so haunted".

if you like these guys also check out The Presets and their latest album Apocolypso and Midnight Juggernauts and their album "Dystopia". all three of these bands are aussie and i may be a little bit biased but i believe that australia is leading the world in electronic music.
