no annoying/original quirkiness, just good old fashioned acoustic-indie-pop-rock but done so well.

 

I found the album Let Go by accident, was just clicking aound bored, heard a few mp3s and didn't find a bad one so went and bought the album and it's great - I haven't listened for long enough to have a stand-out yet, assuming I don't start hating it next week, I'll investigate their latest release.

 

 

I'd never heard of them before, are they any more known Stateside or elsewhere?

'let go' was probably the best unknown album of 2003.

 

they just released a new cd "the weight is a gift," a few weeks ago... it's less acoustic - but just as good.

At first I thought you said "no annoying/quirkiness" to defend against their "hit" from 1996 or whenever that was. "Popular." *shudders*

 

Then I realized you'd actually never heard it before. Weird. So yeah. They were more known stateside, and I'm probably still never going to be able to take them seriously because of that dumb song. I didn't even know they were still around. :lol:

yeah... "Let Go" is a masterpiece... great record. The new one "The Weight is Gift" is also fantastic. :)

I like 'Let Go' very much, it's a great album indeed :)

I've not heard the new one yet but i've heard one song and it sounded good.
