Do Triple J still play Coldplay?

Oh wait, it's Home + Hosed around that time isn't it? I might check SAFM or Nova or something though I'd prefer to stream XFM personally.

Good point. Once the download becomes available, they won't be able to keep other stations from picking it us, official release date or not.

mmmm, i was hoping maybe Triple M or Triple J might do it.

What's Fox FM? Is that an SA radio station also?

Fox FM is basically Sydney's SAFM isn't it?

If it has the Hot30 countdown on it, ye.

It was just on XFM news as a story!! RIght up there with that jerk in Austria and the Man UTD/Barca match!!:)

Yeah just looked it up, SAFM for SA, Fox FM for Melbourne (silly me), B105 for Brisbane, 2day FM for Sydney and Mix 94.5 I think.

Just got an email from Musichead, Coldplay's Australian record company website. Nothing new whatsoever but it's worth posting I guess.

Coldplay.com to give away new single

We're very pleased to announce that Coldplay's new single, 'Violet Hill', will be available as a free download exclusively from Coldplay.com for one week starting today, April 29 at 9.15pm (AEST). This is a full week ahead of the single's conventional paid-for digital release, on Tuesday May 6th.

Artwork: 'Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends'

(yeah you've seen it)

Free gigs in London and New York

Also today, Coldplay.com will announce preliminary details of two free shows which the band will play in June, one at London's Brixton Academy and the other at New York's Madison Square Garden. Full details of how to win tickets to both will be revealed on Coldplay.com in the next few weeks.

(and why's this in the Australian newsletter again?)

Album release details

Coldplay's fourth album, 'Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends' is out in Australia and New Zealand on June 14.

We'll be back with more news soon.

I know that Triple M mentioned it on their website, but they only said that coldplay were releasing it for free... der.

But they arent telling us if theyre gonna play it or not.

None.

...XFM London isn't working for me now :(

I doubt Triple M would play it. Fox/SAFM/whatever, maybe a few times I'm not too sure for Triple J...

I'll be suprised if it becomes popular, you know the mainstream culture here nowawadays , it's quite terrible and is tired of Chris' falsetto. So I don't know.

Okay, Violet Hill is out in 3 hours... It's 1:18 AM atm and I still have school, and homework to do!

Should I stay up and maybe get some of my homework done, or take a 3 hour "nap"?

Do your homework you naughty girl!

Besides, it'll pass the time somewhat.

No, Triple J will be playing Home and Hosed at the time I think which is an all Australian show. I'll probably make it's Triple J debut at least during the morning show.

Wow, posts popping up so fast it's hard to keep up!

Actually, I have a REALLY important homework assignment due TOMORROW. Fuck... damn Coldplay!

Yer, but Triple M supported the tour and did the interview with Chris..and are so far the only station to mention it on their website.

I agree, mainstream music in australia is the shits.

9:15pm on Fox/SFA is the Hot30 countdown show and then after that is the all-Aussie music show so there's no hope tonight, try tommorow for Vio

Even if I could sleep through the cat and the caffeine, I wouldn't since I might not wake up in time now.

awwwwwwwww they just announced it again on XFM :nice:

I agree. I pretty much get most of my music from overseas nowadays anyway. There and of course the Australian indie scene.

Edit - whoa... so many posts so little time! What I'm saying seems irrelevant now!

There was just an ad on for it.

I imploded :D

yeahh ! and the ad got me all YEEEHAAAAA !
