Should I get up for Violet Hill?

Featured Replies

I live in CT, so Violet Hill will be playing at or around 5 am for me. My question is:

Is it worth it to get up at that time to hear it and be tired all day, or get an extra hour of sleep and download it as soon as I get home?

Also: Is it guaranteed theyll play it at that time? Cuz if they wait too long, I'll have to go to school anyway and I would waste that hour of sleep.

I'm staying up til 7 for it,lol. I have nothing to do tomorrow, so I can handle being tired.

Prioritize, son.

And Coldplay should be your number 1 priority.

it's not playing at 5 for you, it's playing at 7! (i live in CT too, even though i'm in PA now for uni, and the time zone is the same as the one here).

does that make your decision easier?

GET UP FOR IT!!

yea without a doubt get up. coldplay is more important than school. hahaha... but if you are in CT... it will be 715am (by CT i'm assuming you mean connecticut?)

(^^haha i didn't mean to post the same exact thing...)

^Would it be worth the extreme tiredness all day tomorrow in classes just to hear it early? It's a tough choice...

lol

No trouble here. Will get up at 9am, study a little and then tune BBC6 via web :P

Portugal has the same time zone as England :P

well, what time would you have to wake up normally? i say wake up, listen/download, and then go back to bed if you have to. and i would say it's most DEFINTIELY worth it, because i'm getting up 1.5 hours early and not going back to sleep, but that's just me.

Ok, wait a minute. Someone told me it was 5 am in CT (Connecticut). If it's 7 then theres no debate. I cant listen to it. Im already in school at that time...

(And no, I can't miss school, I already asked. And I can't fake sick cuz my parents know about it. My only hope is to come down with flu in the next few hours.)

Wtf, why is school so freaking early?

Skip first hour! DUH.

Tell school to go screw itself. Fake sick or go in late. Now you have that to decide on.

School just starts that early for no good reason, and I cant fake sick or skip or my parents would kill me. Theyd take away my computer and then I wouldnt be able to check up on this site every 5 seconds. No, I'll just wait and have something to look forward to for after school.

(It's gonna be a lllllllloooooooooooonnnnnnnggggggg day...)

yea i fake sick all the time and tomorrow would be the perfect day. but i play a sport this season....ugh.

I live in NC, and I think it'll work out good for me, cause I have to be at work at 8AM anyway, so before, I'll dl the new single, and hopefully it'll get me pumped up for the day.

yea but my parents know about Violet Hill so theyd know I wasnt really sick. Damn I shouldnt have asked them if I could stay home for it.

yeah, if i was in high school still, i'd be devastated, because i would have already been out the door and on my way to school by the time it was played. i suppose thats the one advantage of being in college

and it IS 7:15 in CT. there seems to be too much confusion over this.

can you sneak to teh library and listen to it in a free period on a computer?

DEFINITELY !!!!!

Woooow. Ok now you have one option. Get up before they do, take the computer into your room if it isn't already, lock the door, and under no circumstances come out.

any breaks? lunch? computer lab? Go listen then.

I don't get you people telling him to go listen in a library or something. I can't imagine hearing this for the first time in a public place. I'm going to lock myself in the office when I listen.

OF COURSE YOU SHOULD!

I WON'T BE ABLE TO LISTEN IT..

I WILL BE AT SCHOOL BY THAT TIME..

:(
