After being to england maybe ten times for two months each trip....hmmmm....England or America......ENGLAND ROCKS!!!! I'm trying to apply for college in england because I cannot stand the stupidty of MOST Americans. They don't want to accept the fact that something is wrong and they call people like me crazy!!! at least people in england respect other peoples views.

The American government has been "needing to stop" ever since Lincoln and FDR began centralizing power on the federal level. Jefferson, Franklin, etc. knew taxes, big government, and costly unnecessary wars are the downfall of every great empire.

It's only a matter of time before America is surpassed economically, medically (not due to socialized healthcare, but due to free markets and a population with healthier eating habits), and socially by other counties. We're already seeing it occur with the rise of the EU and China's export success, as well as the falling dollar. I look forward to this, not because I'm anti-American, but because it will hopefully spur America into trying a little harder... by reducing the size of the government and ending this systematic destruction of the Bill of Rights under the guise of defeating "terrorists".

we don't need a revolution, just an election

Both parties are effectively the same, trying to get us to trade our freedoms for safety - either from terrorists or a dreaded recession. What they forget to tell us is that both issues - terrorism and recessions - are actually the result of government interference. In the first, government screws around in the middle east causing tons of people to hate our guts. There's a reason terrorists don't attack Sweden, for instance. Second, the Federal Reserve either doesn't print enough money (Great Depression) or prints too much money (stagflation of the 1970's, and now).

We need a revolution, not another election between the lesser of two evils.

I think you're a little misguided and don't quite appreciate some of the things in thE U.S. that we take for granted. Although I must say I don't have high hopes for this next election. But it's quite a bit better than anarchy.

Yeah thatll work. Even Obama who is for change wont tell the whole truth about things. Like recently he stood up and opposed this gas tax break that Clinton and McCain are supporting. He said it was a "classic Washington gimmick". Ok thats fine, now you want to elaborate a little? Why is it just a gimmick, give us some info, wont you?

All politicians cannot be trusted even Obama. That's is why Im apathetic in terms of politics. I believe in liberal ways, but even liberal politicians are not to be trusted!

Politicians better not take Viagra, or else theyll grow taller

With the income tax that they implement which is not constitutional and a private bank by the name of the Federal Reserve printing our money and pumping it into the economy 24/7, until some political figure steps forward to stop this, there is no hope for the US. Unless the people take matters into their own hands, their is no hope for us. I probably going into exile in England after the next few years because they are passing a national id act that may recquire us to carry id cards that have tracking chips in them. WHO WANTS THAT??? NOBODY!!! EXILE TIME!!!!

You sound like a classic conspiracy man. I love people like you, convinced the govt is out to get you. Hidden tracking devices and such, I dig that, man. For those of you who are "That 70's Show" fans, this guy's the Steven Hyde of the forum!

seriously, though. What is the real reason that the US is in Iraq? for cheaper oil. Why are the people in this country not getting cheaper oil? because the corporations that make profit off of the oil sales are making profits by charging way more than they should for gas. yes inflation plays a part, but it is mostly the oil companies controlling the govt. many of the people fighting in Iraq are not even us soldiers. though a majority is US soldiers, about 15% of the men fighting there are blackwater mercenary groups. They are paid $100000 a year, while our soldiers are paid way less. You know why? because Dick cheaney owns a corporation that works with blackwater. It is really bad over there.

Hey, chip implants aren't just for chickens anymore!:laugh3: (even Californians need chips!:P) Yes, this nation is screwed up. The excesses of arrogance, the philosophy (if could be called that) "markets need no regulation and solve everything", 50% Federal spending on "defense"offense, and the thinking that we can force our ideas onto other nations - it happens every couple of decades, when the US has had success through leading by example in the past, and then a certain excess hubris, with the accompanying mono-culture of thought leads to ..well, Vietnam, Iraq, suppression of freedoms, attempt to subjegate the citizenry, and herd everyone into the cult of the "perfect way". Anotherwords, a total inversion of our core values, and in all truth, a rebellion is in order! The only thing missing this go-around is a general youth rebellion - (in part, I think, because of the lack of a draft.) But that will all change, as the economic recession deepens, and everyone gets motivated to make some change! Rather than eliminate the government, what it needs is repair to make it responsive to the will of We, the People again, as we are both the government and the governed. And a big part of the problem, as I see it, stems from the incestuous relationship between large powerful corporations and election campaigns. Creating checks and balances on the process, with citizen oversight, seems crucial to saving our Democratic institutions! Otherwise, it's rook deals for the working class when they go to get a loan for a home, or need health coverage. It's wars which benefit defense contractors, and provide cover for pork to the oil and coal industries. It's foreign policy that ignores the will of the people in other nations, and focuses on whatever profits some multi-national corporations - regardless of the long-term consequences. And it's "leadership" of the most salable, with only crumbs to the general public. Not since the days of the robber Barons of the late 1800's has it been this bad, and reform is in sore need here, that's for sure!

Well, pardon my rant - it's cathartic to be expressive about ones' feelings, but I have a tendency to be long-winded.;):lipsrsealed2::speechless: I'll keep quite for a while..

I think we all dommed at the end of the day.

I remember a quote from Terminator 2..

Scene from when two kids were fighting with toy guns but getting agresive with each other

John Connor : We not gonna make it at the end of the day

T 101 : Yes, its in your nature to destory yourselves.
