With the income tax that they implement which is not constitutional and a private bank by the name of the Federal Reserve printing our money and pumping it into the economy 24/7, until some political figure steps forward to stop this, there is no hope for the US. Unless the people take matters into their own hands, their is no hope for us. I probably going into exile in England after the next few years because they are passing a national id act that may recquire us to carry id cards that have tracking chips in them. WHO WANTS THAT??? NOBODY!!! EXILE TIME!!!!

England is worse when it comes to privacy invasion, probably. You're better off moving somewhere like Hong Kong or New Zealand or somewhere rural like Tasmania or a South American country. And to a certain extent the federal reserve is necessary, but it is just being mismanaged. The European Bank is far better at managing a currency because their charter isn't to "fix" the economy, it's just to keep the Euro from inflating too fast.

Finally, don't look to an individual politician to fix America's problems. It will take a change of culture, and a slow, grinding realization that freedom is good. It'll be painful, and it'll be a group effort if it ever happens. Or a revolution, whichever comes first.

The greatest countries in the world right now are Canada and Australia. So go there if you want to get away from all this. Or Hawaii, cuz even though its in the US, everyone there is chill.

Mend the hub

Life's a wagon, but sometimes a wheel falls off. It just needs the right fix, and some tending to, as I see it. Civilization is a little like making anything - once you think you've got it, you stick with the design with little modification. When the design shows some serious flaws, or a better way is figured out, then it's time for change. It's all a gamble - both the change, and doing nothing - but if we're smart, we'll hedge our bets based on past experiences, and come up with a better way.. I'm optimistic on the long-haul (All Gubenors of Kalifonia aside:P) - OOPS! I had better not pick on Arnold too much - he is, after all, a graduate of University of Wisc. -Superior, if you could believe it! How is the Austrian Czar doing over there in California?? (funny how Bart uses this quote, and there he is - your governor! It's a long, strange trip indeed. :>)

Personally I dont think they invade to much privacy in the UK.

They should have passed those Anti Terror laws, with a rubber stamp and bring in ID cards in the long run this would be better.

In Europe (EU) at least most countries have ID cards. In spain for example you are required to carry this at all times.. even if your going to the corner shop.

BTW this thread is in the wrong section and needs to be in the News and sports section..

As the debates of this sort from time to time, despite the feel good factor on the board at the moment can get quite heated and sometimes personal.

I think the mods should move this thread..

^Yeah, lets agree to keep this clean, man. Just relax and enjoy a good clean debate. Be like the people in Jamaica man...chill

Even Australia has it's problems.

But compared to other places, yes, Aussieland, Canadia and Hawaii are nice places I think :P

Fine then

Just go to Violet Hill

seriously, though. What is the real reason that the US is in Iraq? for cheaper oil. Why are the people in this country not getting cheaper oil? because the corporations that make profit off of the oil sales are making profits by charging way more than they should for gas. yes inflation plays a part, but it is mostly the oil companies controlling the govt. many of the people fighting in Iraq are not even us soldiers. though a majority is US soldiers, about 15% of the men fighting there are blackwater mercenary groups. They are paid $100000 a year, while our soldiers are paid way less. You know why? because Dick cheaney owns a corporation that works with blackwater. It is really bad over there.

I've heard about that too. It's sane. I used to be mad about it though, like to change the world or some kind like that but at a point you have to admit that you can do nothing about it. Moving away, not to see or hear about it might be a good way for you to escape these horrible truth but still. All these things still happens.

Revoke the Ace of Independence, come back under British rule, you know it makes sense ;)

Every time I listen to Square One from now on, when he says "You're in control is there anywhere you wanna go?" I gonna say "Yeah, to Violet Hill!"

I know, completely random:laugh3:

Our government is full of morons, but so is every government.

BTW I don't get why liberals hate Bush, he's been one of the most liberal presidents in U.S. history.

The American government has been "needing to stop" ever since Lincoln and FDR began centralizing power on the federal level. Jefferson, Franklin, etc. knew taxes, big government, and costly unnecessary wars are the downfall of every great empire.

It's only a matter of time before America is surpassed economically, medically (not due to socialized healthcare, but due to free markets and a population with healthier eating habits), and socially by other counties. We're already seeing it occur with the rise of the EU and China's export success, as well as the falling dollar. I look forward to this, not because I'm anti-American, but because it will hopefully spur America into trying a little harder... by reducing the size of the government and ending this systematic destruction of the Bill of Rights under the guise of defeating "terrorists".

So true my friend.

Nuts!

Our government is full of morons, but so is every government.

..By The Way, WHAT?? Are you Nuts?? That statement might be true, IF you inverted it's meaning!! (unless this is just a ruse to rouse the ire in those of us who have suffered under Mad King George's Reign of Error!) He is the most insensitive, dim-witted, hard-headed, twisted, rights-grabbing nincompoop we've ever had as President!! He may go down in history as our Worst President Ever - that's a pretty significant stat., considering the lemons dished up in the past. About the only thing Bush has done successfully is to unite opposition to his band of aristocratic criminals, and prove Ray McGovern right when Ray asserts that "the crazies are in charge!". And he relishes, with full knowledge, his making unfair policy decisions, and then seemingly "sticking it in the eye" of the American Public on TV, almost as though he were giving us all the finger in the process! GRRR!*@#!! He is a mistake. He has done more to damage this nation and our cherished institutions than even the likes of Senator Joe McCarthy in the 1950's.

Jail time for George Now!

:laugh3:So True! Thanks!!;);)

And let's make a list of all the destructive things our so-called president has done to destroy our nation, and the cherished liberties we stand for, just to remind the myth sayers of the truth. I can think of a few:

1. Spy on American's private phone and internet conversations without a warrant, or even a post-fact warrant.

2. Tell total lies to get us into a war in Iraq, avoiding a more sensible liberal approach of containment and pressure for policy change.

3. Hobble Federal Agencies, such as FEMA, the catastrophic result of which is the loss of life and suffering of our fellow Americans in New Orleans

4. Try to create a position of Dictator, called the Unitary Executive, when any true American knows damn well that the President's powers are specifically limited by the Constitution to avoid putting absolute power in the hands of one person (ie - to avoid the pitfalls of having Kings..).

5. Widen the gap between Rich and Poor, or as Bush himself put it "I'm here to be with the haves, and the have mores!".. So we working people in the US spin our wheels, while the top 10% get filthy rich, and refuse economic equity, thinking they earned it all themselves, and forget to play fair.

6. Deregulate Business and Markets, which is to say "remove the referee of honest government", and let business self-regulate. "Free Markets" sounds nice, but with no oversight, the game becomes a brawl, and people get hurt in the process. = wall street gambling markets threaten average Americans security in home loans, and almost caused a global financial collapse. And let's not forget Bush's principal backers in 2000: ENRON. Nothing I've see tops that one for corrupt big-business practices.

7. Plow blindly ahead in Iraq, when the policy is a failed one, and anyone who can feel for people on the ground know it only backfires to be an occupier.

8. Censor Climate Science Results to fall in line with energy conglomerate wishes, and subvert the role of the US Government in seeking the truth on matters of basic science.

9. Label political opposition and public interest groups as "terror suspect groups" and plant spies into meetings of the likes of the Sierra Club! So much for freedom to peaceably assemble! Not to mention, the right of privacy!! And, no search and seizure without a warrant, based on probable cause, and issued by a judge! They stepped right around that one.

10. Head us backwards on Nuclear non-proliferation by pushing for nuclear bunker-busting missiles and projectiles. The last thing we need is another nuclear arms-race, and to use the most dangerous weapons, when this is non-essential. (ie - Policy from the stone ages.)

I could go on for days - this President is the most Un-American President I have known, and the sooner he and his cronies leaves office, the better!!

Viva La Revolution!!

^Im diggin that man

Mmmhhh

MMMMHHHH

Hum with me my friends...together we can force out the evil

The EVIL I say

Bush has grown the size of government more then any recent president, far more then liberal bill clinton, and spent more then most liberal presidents. Bush is the definition of fiscally liberal, the ONLY conservative part of him is socially. I didn't say anything about him being a good president, only he's one of the most liberal ones we've had, which is true.

THe only time he is conservative is on social issues and that's it, he's EXTREMELY fiscally liberal. Bush is for huge government, more spending and more laws. He's the exact definition of a neo-con which is basically a fancy word for fiscally liberal socially conservative.

Bill Clinton is a conservative compared to him.

I'm anti big government thus I am anti-bush, I am also anti socially conservative, so I am anti-Bush.

^UGGHHH

I dont wanna hear it!

Bush is a horrible president no matter where his exact stances rate on the "political scale" hands down a terrible insensitive man who cares more about a good US reputation than good US lifestyle.

He makes me sick
