New Live DVD?

Featured Replies

I just wondered if coldplay would make a new live DVD because the new video on coldplay.com (Brixton) is a professionally filmed video of talk and the new video on the timeline (2005) looks like a part of a documentary, besides the next video (Brixton) that is still locked (besides a small part on the top) looks like another live shot. do you think a dvd release is realistic?

That live version of Talk is from the Toronto gig they filmed a few years back. They were supposed to release the whole concert on DVD but at the last minute changed their minds and made it only available on television :bigcry:

I'd be over the moon tho if they decided to release it this year because the show they shown on the TV was incredible. I still can't understand why they decided not to release it

wow, your right... :(((

sorry i was extremely convinced that the talk performace was a new one.

I wish they'd release the Toronto DVD!!! I don't think we'll get a live DVD now til the end of the Viva La Vida tour  I'm hoping they'll surprise us tho

i dont think they will release a new one till they "feel" that its time for a new one

Five years between DVD's is a healthy gap, and since the band has changed a lot and that the live show is going to awesome in a very different way. Late 2008 would be a great time to release a new live DVD.

So why did they bother recording Toronto in DVD quality if theyre never gonna release it?

We should all pitch in and protest Coldplay for holding that show hostage!!

Lets get some signatures and picket signs and camp outside their new bakery studio!

Viva Revolution!!

:laugh3: i'm with you there! Camp outside demanding the Live Toronto DVD to be released along with some loverly specially baked Coldplay bread :laugh3: :D yum yum

i am guessing that the three 'free' barcelona-msg-london will form a super live dvd release

The Toronto show was amazing! I saw Much here in Canada running it a few times so I Tivoed it. Still enjoy it to this day.

I dont expect a DVD till at least part way through the Viva La Vida tour. They'll film a show 3 weeks in after they have got the show down pat and release it for Christmas maybe. U2 has done that a couple times, in fact I was at the show where they dry ran cameras for the Chicago DVD.

Toronto wont be released now, you could see it down the road as a repack with X&Y when it gets remastered or something to help sell copies (out of U2s book)

We have the channel HDNet on our Directv at home and I have my DTV system auto record anything Coldplay. So I came home one afternoon and "Coldplay: How We Saw The World" was recorded to my box. The Toronto gig. And its AMAZING in HD. The light show for In My Place is killer on my plasma TV I think I've watched it like 6926391820264820 times.... :D:P
