Best point in tour to see Coldplay live

Hey guys -

I was wondering what your thoughts were in when you think the best time to see Coldplay live is. Obviously they have a very long tour - would you rather see them in the very beginning of their tour, the middle of their tour, or the end of the tour? I am seeing them on their 2nd show (Washington, DC) and I guess its great that they will all be fresh, but they might not get everything going right until later in the tour. Also perhaps Chris's voice might not sound as good towards the later parts of the tour. Thoughts...

I would say middle or end, just when they start to hit their stride.

I know usually the first few weeks of a tour are just road-testing the new songs, and fitting them in with the old songs.

By the end of the tour they have everything down to a science. But maybe they'll be a little tired.

So I said middle.

I was worried about how good Chris voice would be too, and I saw them In December 2005, only a few months after it started. I wanted it all to be perfect. Then at the start of Politik he got the words wrong and said "Oh f**k", to which everyone burst out laughing - so not quite perfect, but still amazingly excellent. Imperfection is so much more real and ace :D

I GUESS MIDDLE, AS WELL. When they came to Seattle on X & Y, it was the very first show after having a couple weeks off for Christmas break......they were well rested and jolly from the holidays!

I had seen them also just a few months before, and they seemed a bit frazzled.

i saw them at their first US date in 2005, after they'd done some europe first, so i guess that counts as the middle. and it was FABULOUS, much better than when i saw them at the end in april 2006...they seemed bored then, almost. well, i mean, it's coldplay, so it was still fabulous, but compared to the first time i saw them, they were less excited, definitely. i think it's probably best to catch them towards the beginning of the middle, or right after they come off of a decent-length break.

O right. I said beginning, but I thought you meant in any show...not the actual tour. Lol, should have read the question a bit better lol.

I'd probably say beginning anyway just because theyre all fresh and excited and the like..and there might even be mistakes to see which is cool lol. But middle would also be good cos then theyre all warmed up and the show would have a great energy to it (they all do..im just trying to think of a good enough reason ).

Haha wow I always imagined him messing up Politik, those lyrics are all over the place. And its at the beginning of the concert at the beginning of one of the first songs near the beginning of the tour. A little early, yes? :dozey:
