ah c'mon they just released a new album for everyone!

and we're bitching about their clothes (or just the fact that they wear clothes?)

well my point was it should be about the album and not the crappy clothes they are wearing ;) but now it's gone in the wrong direction, as usual lol

It's all Shivanair's fault!! Immediate banishment to the Perv Unit thread, methinks!!

I LOVE COLDPLAY! I really really do, and with that said, I have to have a small rant.

If I ever see them in those fucking jackets again, I am going to throw up and then cry. At first, I was like wow, those are different, and they fit with the video well, but now they wear those fucking things everywhere. I know they have to stink by now, because none of them are too keen on changing clothes that often. I was watching an interview with Liam Gallagher, the crazy sod that he is, said something that hit me and it was that they (oasis) don't go for all the glitz and glamour crap, that they are just 5 lads on stage playing their music and they don't need a big stageshow or funny costumes to prove that they are the best band in the world. All they need it their music to prove that.

WOW! It is the truth, if Coldplay had that same attitude, I believe that they would be the best band in the world, I don't go to see Coldplay shows to see them dressed alike in homeless clown jackets and confetti spewing out of huge airguns. I go to see them perform their music. That's all I wanna see is four lads on stage playing their music and being the best band in the whole fucking universe.

Ok, sorry for any mispellings, but I had to get that all out and quickly. So if any of you sons of bitches have anything to say...now's the time to say it!! (Kill Bill reference for those that don't get my humor)

I agree with you my dear. I saw an old picture of them the other day. From uni or something. And they just look so...ordinary...but in a good way! That's what I always liked about them. I don't want to see any costumes or stage clothes. I want to see the 4 of them on stage, jeans and t shirts, just playing some fucking good music! It's weird because I've seen muse a few times and their stage shows are just so over the top but still AWESOME. I would expect nothing less of them, but I would like less from Coldplay...if that makes sense?

Is now a good time to say that having listened to it all, I'm not really a fan of VLV? :\

Yup. In Coldplay's case, less show is definitely more.;)

I totally agree with you agreeing with me lol ;) and it has taken me listening to it repeatidly for 8 hours stratight for about a week while i am at work for it to grow on me. So maybe if you listen to it some more it will become better. It's an odd thing, because with the other lps it took me one listen to know that I would love it. It's just so different. But I have grown to really love it. Hopefully you will too. ;)

I hope so. Every album so far has strangely coincided with significant moments in my life: Parachutes, going to uni. AROBTTH, my grandpa dying, X&Y, my parents getting divorced....but there's not much going on right now :laugh3: Apart from the fact that I've been ill for the past week. I think maybe that's something to do with it. When I'm feeling better maybe I'll feel better about VLV ;)

Yes - perhaps the connection is that you've been feeling like death.....................

I'm just not going to comment on all the funny goings-on in this thread,lol...totally cracked me up reading!!

I have NEVER been a fan of 'band uniforms', and I've said that before. I thought the outfits were cool for publicity, but if they wear them on the road, it's going to feel a bit 'rehearsed' for my tastes. I love them as a short-term publicity thing, but in the ling run...just tacky, guys!! Just wear jeans and T-Shirts on stage and be yourselves, ok??

yay jeans and t-shirts on-stage!

*points to Muse*

Squee!

I completely agree! If the boys could just wear ordinary shirt and a pair of jeans, that would suit me just fine. It would give a very cool sense of being casual and easy-going, not that we all don't know they are that way already but hm. Having said that, I'm sure their sense of style is meant to reflect the mood of the album. I mean, looking back at x&y (yes, sorry for taking us all back to that period lol jks) all wore black and it somewhat matched the album etc, hm, or maybe I'm off my bloody rocket and trying to justify the funky looking jackets they are wearing now simply because I don't think it's all that bad, buta pair of jeans and a simple shirt would be just as good.

(sorry if that was confusing etc, vh video just came on and totally threw me off track  )

Your right but it's not like they dress as a huge pop star with all those bright pants and glowing gowns...

at some point they have to be very modest because it's part of their personallity.

I agree with all you've said Mary....I'm not a fan of the jackets either...... they make me cringe a bit if I'm being honest.

Just wear normal clothes guys!!!

Well it seems everyone is in agreement - so let's hope the boys sit up and take notice!!:D

Chris Martin - Get thee to Topman! hehe

I find this thread so damn funny, how can you talk and argue about such a trivial thing? My god, they are wearing different clothes, WOOH, drama.

They have a new album in a new style, so now they have a new looks for themselves. Black wouldn't fit the new, colourful album, it wouldn't show the energy of it. If they would all have giant tatoos on their faces, that would be a reason to talk about, but not even this would be important, so blah...

How ever, just my opinion :dozey:

I love you too

I can't say that I've actually noticed lol. i'm more interested in what they're saying/singing, and have been completely oblivious to what they've been wearing.

although if they did turn up in dresses, i might notice then
