The circumference of Jupiter is relative - it's a gassy planet, and it depends where you put the measuring tape! Its mean radius is 44,423 miles; its mean circumference (P=2Pi*r) then is 279,118 miles around the belly! As a gas giant, it glows a little from a mild fusion taking place under the enormous gravitational pull, as I recall..:smug:
