Coldplay things in London

Featured Replies

Hi,

Im going to go to London next Week. And I want to look for some merchandise or some old venyl Singles. does anybody know any good shops to buy these things?

i found a few shops in a guidebook:

HMV, 150 Oxford Street

Tower Records, 1 Picadilly Circus

Virgin Megastore, 14-16 Oxford Street

are these shops good, do you know more?

maybe I'll go to the Bakery, do you think (or know if) the band will be there (10-13 July)?

thanks

those u mentioned are surely the biggest music shops in London so they will surely have most of the stuff u are looking for...I went to London last January but I don´t remember any exact shop where you could go...although u might be lucky enough to find some old stuff in one of Oxfam´s shops...my suggestion is to enter in every single music shop and see what they got:D

bout the band...I guess the guys will be in America for the tour, won´t they?

Those are good, big record shops, but very commercial. For old vinyl and rarities I think you need more specialist shops. Hopefully someone in London can advise you, but I used to shop a lot at Sister Ray Records. It used to be in Soho but I'm not sure where it is now exactly:

I haven't been in ages, but you might want to try Rough Trade too.

I've no idea if they'll have what you're looking for, but its in a fun part of London at least (:

130 Talbot Road

London

The band are in the states now ready for their US tour to the best of my knowledge.

but it's definitely worth visiting the bakery, it's where they recorded Viva La Vida, and as we know, some tracks from the next album next year.

I loved it when I went, sure it was only a small dank building, but it was knowing what had been accomplished there that made it a good oppourtunity. :)

if you want to go, PM me and I'll give you more than enough information on how to get there.

I dont know any shops but if you go anywhere near London Bridge try and find the london dungeons. If you do carry on walking down past them on the same side of the road. You'll pass a tunnel called stainer street carry on down the second tunnel is weston street where fix you was filmed. May not be that interesting but made my day when i stumbled on it.

And Waterloo Bridge is the bridge that Chris is crossing

in the Fix You video (with the National Theatre in the

background).
