One of the unlikely places where LP4 was recorded is 'a magic shop'. Forgive my ignorance, but what is a 'magic shop'? I can only think of the 'Magic Shop Version' of Keane's The Iron Sea.

Yes that's right, I guess it was the Magic Shop Studios in New York that the album booklet is referring to - I think Guy said in an interview recently that they recorded some of the album in the Magic Shop Studios, and while they were there they found a tack piano, and they liked the sound it made, so when they got back home they bought an old piano and stuck drawing pins into the hammers to replicate that sound; and I think it's from that piano that the lovely riff from Lovers In Japan comes. Unless... they did actually record it in a magic shop with David Copperfield providing backing vocals???..................

There is some footage of Keane recording in the Magic Shop on their Under The Iron Sea DVD, if any of you are interested to know what it looks like!
