but actually it's more like :dance: because i went to amsterdam for the first time in my life, and it's absolutely incredible. as is delft!

 

it was weird tooling around holland on the 4th of july, and i'm a bit sad that i'm missing hot dogs and fireworks, but i wouldnt have given up amsterdam and delft for anything! :D

Got invited to several bar-b-ques but I was sick the last few days and not ready for food yet. Might drive in the watch the fireworks but may just sleep instead. :\

I'm waiting for it to get dark so the illegal fireworks can start. :uhoh:

 

Haha, having fireworks are illegal here in VA and since my dad has to work tonight we can't go any places where they're set off legally/safely. Sooo, I'm hoping some people from my neighborhood are setting them off. :tongue:

I went to the Fairplain flea market. I did plan on seeing a parade, but it was raining like crazy. The fireworks in Ripley got rained out. Tomorrow my grandparents are having a party with fireworks and ribs and stuff, so I'll be here pigging out all day. =)

Here, bomb shells are bursting in air.. rocket's red glare.. there's a lull just now - which lasts until midnight, whereupon more explosions begin again. So let's see - buy the fireworks in Wisconsin, and sign a permit claiming that you're only moving (shipping) them to another state. Then, as if almost by accident, they never make it all the way to (where the heck is this stuff legal? Montana? Wyoming??) wherever, and accidentally they catch on fire in the subs here! Quite amazing, how many fuses get "accidentally" lit - some of this stuff you need like the permits cities issue to carnivals, baseball teams, etc. to use! Sheesh! Oh well, it's beautiful and quite rebellious!:laugh3:
