how come you still need to hunt the haggis (haggises?). It's barely even alive!

You have to keep the ancient traditions alive, especially for the American tourists.;)

Oh I noticed that too, you are more frequent here than last.fm ;)

I see, Iris. I thought it would be in July. So you're on vacation? Wonderful...it wouldn't be that hard to be entertained, would it? You're still in sunny Spain after all! Haha.

Curiously, it's a song from Frightened Rabbit, a Scottish band. Hope you get to see them when you are already in Scotland! :D

In fact I'm frequent on last.fm, the thing is that I sometimes deselect the option "enable scrobbling", especially when I'm way too obsessed with a song (or artist)!! I basically do that because I want my top of artists list (and top songs) to be well-rounded

I've almost been on vacation since a month!! Yeah, it's true there are plenty of things to do over here, for example going to the beach which I usually do but still... haha, don't know.

I'm going to check the song on YT then!!

I need to hunt the haggises not because of the prize... just because they taste well :smug:

Not at all. Those were the best times!

Well I hope you're taking lessons then, as they're extremely shy and elusive.

Oh, gosh...

I didn't realise that maybe you're a haggis and I could practise with you! :stunned:

You'd better be shy and elusive - otherwise I might find you! haha

But you need to catch one first!!:P

!HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :jester:

Have a great and fabulous day!

Hmmm...nice idea, Iris! Now I know why I don't see a 1,000 play scrobble of your obsession-worthy song!

Maybe attend a gig or something? I don't know, but sometimes it's better than beaches!

I never thought of it that way.

Best times, yeah. I don't know how to make a witty and smartass response anymore. I'm rusty!

Well I hope Iris gets to catch a haggis. Go for the kill, Iris!

!HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :jester:

Thank you, dear! :D

haha, I don't do it all the time though... just when I realise I'm too obsessed with a song/artist and I know that in a very few days I'll have completely got over it. I just want my list to show the truth and not a fleeting obssession!! Anyway, these past days I haven't been much around here so that's why I have scrobbed a few songs.

At the moment there aren't many gigs "itself" over here - I mean most bands play at 2-3days festivals and I'd prefer to attend a gig. Also, in August there's nothing going on! BUUUT once I'm in Scotland I'm going to make up for lost time.

I will do that, Gail!! And I'll send you the haggis! Remember I can do it for real, so don't be surprised if one day you receive one! haaaa

By the way, I haven't been able to find the song (on YT, either on myspace!).

I see, Iris. However, if you are really obsessed with a song, I think it's safe to say that you really like it and would continue doing so for a long time. It's not that you'd hate it afterwards.

But you're right, being too obsessed will pretty much destroy your charts!

I wouldn't like to attend a 2-3 day festival. It's better to attend to just one gig with the band that I love instead of many, whose performances I would not like at all!

Uhhhmmm, but isn't haggis perishable?! Goodluck sending it to me, though. I would like to know and see what haggis is, really! ;) Might be tasty.

Well "Extrasupervery" is just a short song, sort of instrumentalish with some background vocals. It's just over one minute short. I always think it's an album filler. A good album filler though. lol.

aww thanks so much, rudy_o and ze_scientist. hope you're having a nice day/night. :)

Yeah, I suppose I should be honest and show the world that I'm truly obsessed with a song :)

Actually I'd like to attend a 2-3day festival but I've got to find the right people to go with. The friend with who I used to go to the gigs said she wasn't interest in attending them. What's more, I reckon it could be a way to find out new artists as well!

I think it is! I suppose I could put it in a box... haha, I was kidding tho. I'd prefer to send you anything else instead. I know some people who said that haggis isn't the best meal to eat! :worried:

Then maybe you could send her a live one instead. That way you could be sure it was fresh when she got it.

Btw, Iris, here's a bit of shameless plug for Frightened Rabbit! I just love the accent!

Haha, yeah song obsession is not that bad.

Yes, it wouldn't be fun if you're not with the people who enjoy the music as much as you do!

Haha, haggis seems not a very strange food at all. Here, intestines (ugh) are commonly consumed!

OK, but whatever you do, keep away from any concert featuring Michelle Fatmanus, or it might turn you off music (and Scotland) for life!!:stunned:

What about Frightened Haggis??

Hey hey !

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! :D

Hope you're enjoying your day !

haha, oh yeah. Good idea!!

But if I sent Gail a live one I guess she'd prefer to take care of the haggis as if it was her most beloved pet instead of eating it.

_________

Michelle F? And who's that woman, your secret lover!? *winks*

I've never heard of her before.

_________

Gail, you're right, being obsessed with a song isn't that bad, I so enjoy it. The matter is to find a new one to be obsessed with once your addiction to the previous one seems to fade away :D

I've already listened to them! At first I didn't know what to expect because I know a little bit about your music tastes and some of the artists you like are... let's say curious (read Xiu Xiu or Owen Pallet for example) :P

I'm a fussy eater, so I don't think I'd like it. And I'd better not try that! :uhoh:

haha, oh yeah. Good idea!!

That wouldn't happen, as haggis are untameable.

I think that haggis could be as long as I send her a baby one ;)

Baby ones are extremely aggressive and have been known to bite off fingers!!:stunned:

That isn't good for anyone selling ice-cream!!

Oh well.

I didn't know they were THAT aggressive. I will have to take this into account!

I'd better send her another animal instead :)
