depends on what you want them for

Love them. They're creating a middle class in 3rd world countries. India for example is a doing a lot better because of them.

Bad idea for call centers which need some sort of local knowledge

 

The old Great Western Ambulance Service 999 Call Centre was used to be based in Devizes, which was pretty much centre of Wiltshire, however due to cost-cuttings measures the powers that be decided to merge the Wiltshire Call centre with the Avon Call centre, which is based outside Bristol.

 

Good idea in theory, but when you get somebody from Bristol taking details of a location in deepest dark Wiltshire the local knowledge is lacking.
