Well, maybe u will think im strange or crazy or something else, im not a freaky Coldplay fan, but i like it a lot, about 5 years of my 15 year old life i was listening Coldplay.

All Coldplays song are soooo beautiful, all the words in the songs remind me about something, i just started crying when i was listening "I see you soon"

This song discribes my life a bit, when i was reading the lyrics.

For these 5 years i have learned a lot from coldplay songs, even now im writing this text im crying and i dont know why.

Coldplays music is as beautiful as its lyrics.I just cant get enougth of listening them.

I hope thas some people think like i do too, cuz like 30% of fans just think Coldplays Chris and Jhonny...are cute or sexy ( i mean girls).Others like just the music or just the songs (well i think so)

So I would like to know what you feel about Coldplay?

 

All the boys and girls of my age or higher (like 12-20) they all listen hip-hop, rap or tecno or hard rock or heavy metal, i wonder if there are others like me, or am i really strange for my age? If there are some please write here how old are you and what do you feel about Coldplay? :cry: :\

Of course you're not strange because you like them at your age!! Their music is beautiful enough to touch anyone's heart.. young or new.. I've heard of 4 year olds AND 90 year olds cry because of Coldplay songs. When I got into them I was 12 and I got a lot of teasing at my school for that.. but I paid no attention. Honestly I think it's great that you like them being so young.. it's better then following everyone else and listening to hip-hop or madonna :thinking::D

I am a 16 year old guy and I completely understand you. Most of their music is so great to listen to because I can relate to what they are saying. It's like they know how I feel sometimes. Plus songs like Don't Panic, Everything's Not Lost, and Fix You can help you feel better when you're down. Coldplay music has helped me get through a lot of rough times. I dont know where I would be without them. Not to mention certain lines will help me forever. "If you never try you'll never know just what you're worth" from Fix You inspires me to try things so I wont regret not taking chances.

Hey, cozZz! What you wrote really reminds me of my life! I`m 15 too and "See you soon" describes the last three years of my life. My brother's 8 and he's completely in love with Coldplay! Ok ok it's my fault, but he really is :D

I allways had problems with my friends, cuz listening to coldplay music made me romantical or something like that, i started to think a lot about life and things, and everyone thought im strange, noone talked to me cuz i didnt go drink with them or to some partys...and like a half a year ago i was tired of being alone so i strted to be more like them and now, i have changed, i started drinking with them, and listened to coldplay verry a little* and i dont like it, but i dont want to be alone anymore :(

This is a hard choise and its hard to be like 2 of me at the same time :cry:

I think that theres no other band like Coldplay, all of their songs tell about life,problems and stuff...I wonder if Chris and his friends where like us at our age :rolleyes:

 

And about this hip-hop music its strange, all they do is sing about how much money they have how cool they are i hate it, sometimes i like the music but not the song clips or words.

Exactly. I'm 16 as well and they are such a personal band to me. Their lyrics really are from the heart and I can relate to them so well. It's like they wrote the songs about me! Especially AROBTTH....that album changed my life. It really got me out of a deep rut in my life, and they have inspired me to do so much. Even VLV, that song has given me such an amazing feeling of passion and ambition and it's amazing.

 

As a teenager, odds are you probably will get teased for liking them. It's normal, so don't fret. A lot of people get shit for it. I know I have, I've gotten my fair share of '40 year old virgin' jokes and all, but in the end it's all worth it. As long as you have a genuine and heartfelt reason for loving them and their music, there should be absolutely no problem whatsoever. They are a great band and one day those kids will bite their tongue. Fuck 'em all.

 

This band is the world to me, and it is to other people (such as people here on Coldplaying) as well.

coldplay's got me through some rough times.

 

i feel like i can relate to all of their songs, and they really make me feel something inside. each and every one gets to me in one way or another. they've really changed my life. i never thought a band could be this good, and hit my music taste perfectly. it seems like they always understand, and that's why they're my favorite band. my sister thinks it's because i love chris martin, and that can really piss me off sometimes. they're so talented, and no one should like them because their looks. the fact that chris is gorgeous doesn't hurt though. :D the music industry right now is really at it's worst, with that rap song "low", that "i kissed a girl", pussycat dolls and the absolutely horrible miley cyrus. it pisses me off when people say "coldplay sucks, now you know someone who's good? miley cyrus." i feel like saying "you don't know shit about music, you fucking bitch." and one time i did.

 

they are just, undescribably amazing. that's just a start on how i feel about coldplay. :P

i'll use this one to tell you coZz that you shouldn't have to change for your friends. a friend of mine kept saying "coldplay sucks, why do you listen to them, they're so corny, etc." and one day i just downright told him how i felt and how much they mean to me, and he backed off. you shouldn't have to change who you are for other people. if they don't like who you are, they're not really your friends. the friend i'm talking about tried to get me into drinking too.

 

being a coldplay fan is above drinking. much above.

I´m 19 years old now and coldplay has been part of my life for 5 years now.I´ve been through the same thing you did,believe me.I´ve been mocked by my friends,even my family made some jokes about Coldplay but I never changed my musical taste or my attitude for them,they´ve learned that I´m like this and we have no problems regarding this anymore,actually I made some of them discover Coldplay and now they´re fans too.:laugh3:

 

I think their songs are well writen so that the fans relate to them.Every song of them takes me to a specific time in my life,can´t explain that .Everytime I hear their song I have a mindtrip somehow.In my opinion listening to coldplay is like a therapy because every time I´m in a bad mood,feeling sad or angry I just listen to coldplay and everything sorts out...:)

Well its not so easy to change your friends whom i knew for like 8 years, the biggest part of my friend or mayne even all of them are my classmates.

It's just that they chose their way of life and i chose mine :(

I really think that my chois was right.

 

All the people are different, the change because of their friends and parents and other stuff that they do every day, some of them are weak and when someone offered them a drink or something else they could not reject it... and this is sad :cry:

But i live in estonia full of teenage skaters or drinking kids whose fathers are acloholocs :cry: I don't think that there are any my age coldplay fans at all, maybe just 2-3. All the others listen this hip hop or something like that.

I would like to meet guys like you if it would be possible.

It truly is. I think it's because by loving Coldplay we know of the beautiful, simpler things of life and really do learn from our emotions and feelings, and at times Coldplays does get us through our deep emotions. Their music just makes me wiser and more open about our feelings.

i also agree with that....cause thats what happened to me .....im 16 and i just act and feel more mature ever since i started listening to COLDPLAY.

 

 

and i think that all there songs have meanings very deep and important meanings and thats one of the reasons why i love their music......but with the new album i juat dont feel their music....dont know if u understand what i saying but ya :smug:

i'm in the same situation as you too! as a 16 year old guy i'm teased constantly by other kids who like rap and rock (you know, songs about drugs, sex, and parties), but i like coldplay because all of their songs are so true and they reach right down into your emotions no matter how your feeling. i often get depressed and go to my room and blast coldplay and i automatically feel better. so its nothing to worry about. i think younger kids like us just have a more mature taste in music if you get my point

For me, I just enjoy Chris' voice and their music. I usually play YouTube videos on my laptop when I'm working on here and I'm able to de-stress and just chill. Also, I'm in the same age range (31) as the guys in the band and I guess it doesn't really matter but growing up, all my favorite bands were decades older so I view Coldplay as part of "my generation" so-to-speak and I can identify with the way the feel about life in general.

 

I just never get sick of their music, ever. They could sing ABC's and I would listen to it over and over again!
