The official Chavi and Carla and friends off topic thread

Oh it was fun, yes.

The "cleaning up" part not so much though. Those who should have been doing it were too drunk to do it so me and a friend did it until 9am...

My feet and legs feel like made of lead!!

I didn't sleep much because I had to work today as well so I just quickly went home to sleep a few hours.

But the best thing was that I finally met concerts-addicts like us!!

They're brothers & sisters who come to the cinema a lot but we never had time to talk to each other and soon we realised that we all like live music and we said we might go to see some band / festival some time :awesome:

I feel less a freak now in my town

How was your party?

(Does it say in your User CP as well that only 50x50px pics are allowed??)

Aw, Anna you are way to nice! That's awful of them, was it your place?

And you had to go to work as well :stunned:?!! I bet you're exhausted!!

Haha, that's awesome that you met such people :D! (Btw, I instantly thought of the song "Brothers & Sisters" so I got confused ! Hope you guys really do go to some concert/festival :D!

Oh, I was at my sisters house spend some time with her and her husband and his siblings, we had alot of fun!

Mine says: "Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 150 by 150 pixels or 73.2 KB (whichever is smaller). :

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a lovely new years! :D

Hi Viri!

Rania, that's weird, for me it says 50px all of a sudden :bigcry:

The party was in the cinema and we knew that the cleaning personnel would arrive at 9:30am... so the floor and bar etc would have to be set up to "regular cinema look" by then.

Be sure - that wasn't niceness. It was a pure necessity that someone makes it.

And I promised my boss that I'd look after the place and that nothing would go wrong.

We were all furious today because all 4 organisers of the party knew that it would have to be clened, decorations and rubbish and glasses removed etc by the early morning but 3 of them drank themselves more or less unconscious

Hello Viri, happy new year!

Woah, that's weird :s!!

Ah, I see, it's good that someone is mature enough to take som responsibility though, so childish of them :(!!

People never thing of the things they have to do afterwards when they go to a party, it's kinda selfish in situations like that!

Hi ladies!

Did you had to clean up by youself?

Yes, funny thing is that age is irrelevant when it comes to things like that.

They were all in their 30's and you would actually assume that they know what it's like...

If you can't stay conscious enough to clean up you shouldn't agree to organise it.

I sound so negative, I know. It just ruined an otherwise good evening! :bigcry:

Those "concert guys" were so nice :nice:

But it can't take long until I see them again because they come to the cinema so often

What's your user title about?

Hi ladies!

Hi Viri, there was a party at the place I work at and I was there.

I'm only good friends with one of the 4 people who organised it.

There were about 80 people and the other 3 didn't help cleaning up but we HAD to clean up because today the cinema was open again and every thing had to be normal again :\

So I ended up helping my friend when I was actually only a guest...

Aww, bastards :(!! You dont sound negative at all, really I would have gone mental ! You're taking it pretty easy, just dont let it happen again, I can imagine it was really shitty to clean up "for them"

Hahaha, yeah, hopefully they will come to cheer you up :nice:!

If you're talking about my user title Inspector Fredrick Abberline is from the movie From Hell, he's played by Johnny Depp :nice:!

You should see it, it cool!

Haha, they probably are!

 I've seen the movie, yes!

Can't remember much though apart from the baby with the sunglasses and that annoying wife.

What were your favourite movies this year that come to your mind immediately?

For me it's probably

The Wrestler,

Milk,

Slumdog Millionnaire,

Inglourious Basterds

(and Star Trek was fun, too)

Public Enemies!

And I just saw Sherlock Holmes today, t'was bloody awesome!

Monsters vs. Aliens ! Hilarious!

I haven't seen Public Enemies... but that reminds me that I forgot the French movie "Public Enemy No.1"

I stopped in MM for tonight, it'll take a long time until everything will be looking neat in there :uhoh:

Thanks for the offer!!

I'll ask Ian if it's ok to delete old threads with zero replies asking for a picture or something. There are loads of them... I'm still working on the "easy" threads, means merging and renaming threads with descriptive / meaningful names.

Glastonbury 2005 is the winner at the moment with 39 threads

I'm going to bed soon.

Have a nice evening / good night!

yes there are! I did not know what to do with them last time so I left them there..

ciao Sue! sleep well :nice:

Oooh "From Hell"

One of my all time favourite films ever...not only because of Johnny Depp but I love the

Jack the Ripper mystery, when I worked in London it was in Whitechapel where it all took place! If you've never done a "Ripper Walk" I recommend it, it's really interesting. Just don't pick a freezing cold Febraury night like we did

Favourite films of this year for me were:

Inglourious Basterds

L'armee du crime

Harry Potter and the HBP

New Moon

I also saw Angels and Demons but thought it was not so good and I still haven't even seen Slumdog, I'm probably the only person in the world

I've hardly been to the cinema at all this year in fact and should make the effort to go more, I really want to see Sherlock Holmes and Alice in Wonderland when it comes out.

Have to go shopping for my neighbour now but see you all later

That made me think of the LRLRL CD beginning :laugh4:

Hi Antonia!

Happy new year!! :escaping:

happy new year Chaviiiii
