^^^ we had something pretty damn close to that at the last concert, and like, one sixteenth of the crowd held em' up. so we wanted to go for something more noticable.

Does any one want me to do some photoshop for the signs?

I think better instructions this time around are a must. There's no use putting all of this effort into doing it if everybody doesn't hold up their signs. It also needs to look really professional at the same time. So whether a note (doesn't have to be the one I wrote) is on the back or stapled somehow, I do personally think it's a good idea.

This is probably a bad idea but maybe it can help for brainstorming with everyone else.. but what about if we were near the entrances with the signs and passed them out then and said "hold this up after the Encore" or something like that along with the little short note or whatever..

 

or maybe get a table ?? Like, talk to Wachovia and get a table for Coldplaying.com like how there's an Oxfam table and various radio station tables and stuff like that.. then people would see it and we could hand them out along with having the table because it would draw people there??

 

Idunno.. just throwing ideas out there lol. I know it will all work out by the show. :)

+ also.. I talked to my mom. Even though I'll be away at college in Delaware, she said she could get like 250 signs printed at her school. Is that good? + someone needs to email me the template or whatever so I can forward it to her and all.. just letting you know. :)

And the table/hand out idea is a good one. However, I don't want us to miss the opening act, etc. And simply setting up a stand would mean people would have to come to us (and I doubt they will). But maybe we can expand on it? Anyone have any bright ideas?

that's why I was thinking maybe a table or even a poster to hang up or some other kind of advertising for the signs.. and all this while we hand them out as well. ..?

We'd have to have several tables...the stadium is a big place!

i actually want to meet all you people in front of the center so that i can get some signs from you people and can easily pass them inside the wachovia center.

 

and also every one must tell me all how they look like and what every one wears.

if ya'll meet in front of the wachovia center, someone should just hold up a poster that says "PHILLY SIGN GANG HERE" or something like that. :D

Well I do think we should all meed up before the show. Maybe have name tags or something.

 

But as far as distribution goes, the best and most efficient way is to put them on their seats.

 

UNLESS there was some way to hand them out as soon as they get their tickets checked...

we have to involve not only the people who are from coldplaying but also any other non-coldplaying people too who are also interested in passing signs.

 

well if only possible,its just a suggestion.

so so far we have morgan, dave, pallavi, me and who else going to help out. I am probably going to print 1,000 to 2,000 signs. Pallavi if you could make the sign that would be awesome. I was thinking we should have sometihng similar to the splatter design ColdplayJoe used. Also some members of the security staff helped pass out signs last time so idk if we'll need fans passing out signs. I also think we should pass out signs inbetween when duffy plays and coldplay plays. That way we can explain to more people when to hold the signs up. Lastly I'm going to call wachovi center in about a week to volunteer to help clean up signs after the show so if you want to be added to the list pm me.

So question.. for us on the floor.. couldn't we hand them to the people in the various sections and tell them to pass them out in their sections maybe? Something like that.. ? Just brainstorming some more ideas haha.

We could, but I'm not sure if that's reliable.

 

A good idea might be to sand at each of the entrances into the actual arena (not from the outside, but at each individual section) and just hand them signs there. That would still require alot of people.

Yeah true.. I'm thinking we should talk up some of the security guards. :) Met a nice one there in July.. I'm sure some of them wouldn't mind helping out.

We could try and be innovative and what not, but the old fashioned way definitely works. It's the way we did it the first time (massive success), and the second time's "failure" was simply attributed to the confusion as to when to hold them up. With a better explanation, the old way should be fine. And TRUST ME, it'll be alot easier on our end. We might not even be able to do it any other way; the venue might not allow it.

i think though we should hand them out in between duffy and coldplay. That was like a whole hour last show. We could explaing to the peoplae because almost everyone will be inside sittting down
