September 3, 200817 yr From the picture I saw of it , it looked like a turd that hadnt been polished .
September 3, 200817 yr haha, Someone beat me into posting this already. xD I downloaded it, but I think there's still a glich. It won't even open up to the home page as of now.
September 3, 200817 yr Author Well I like it! Yeah its nowhere near firefox or IE just yet, but I reckon the speed improvements alone will make it worthwhile.
September 3, 200817 yr Author Yeah!! Technically talking its really complex, but instead of loading one tab at a time like with firefox and IE, this chrome loads them all at once, sharing common bits of code. this means it only loads half as much data and gets the exact same results, in about half the time.
September 3, 200817 yr Author ^ for me its faster than firefox 3. can't say about safari, but the way it handles data should mean its faster yes. as they say, why continue to use an old browser which just gets improved on, rather than a whole new one built specially for todays modern and growing internet.
September 3, 200817 yr Author I could think of a really good reason to that but I can't word it. |D do you mean about being able to trust older browsers? well think about how big google is. when they build a new version of the browser they can test it against 20% of the entire internet in 25 minutes on their servers. so you can be sure that its stable and safe to use. i really should get a job working for google! :laugh3:

So why don't you just go play with your girlfriend instead? Oh I forgot, she's in AMERICA *dun dun DUNNN!* *dramaticbeaver*
September 3, 200817 yr Author No. I said I'm not sure how to word it but it was to be one of my brilliant witty comebacks, unfortunately that plan went down the toilet. Maybe the lesson here is that we leave them all to mark...
September 3, 200817 yr Ah, you were going for a witty comeback? Maybe the lesson here is that we leave them all to mark... Mark is comebacks from the pun sewers.
September 4, 200817 yr Is anyone getting an error message or something that it can't open up the application or something? No matter how many times I've redownloaded it because of this problem, it still doesn't work. ugh.
September 5, 200817 yr Google failed in their bid to buy Mozilla to get their hands on firefox a couple years ago, so they have finally come back with their own browser.
September 6, 200817 yr The Federal Office for security and information technology (I had no clue that this really exists :D) warns people here to use Google's new "Chrome" so I won't give it a chance so far. ;)
September 6, 200817 yr It's actually pretty good.. a bit confusing at first in some parts but you get the gist of it after a while |D

September 7, 200817 yr Ive read that two critical safety flaws have been found in it (google if you wish details) , the most notable one apparently is the way it can bypass windows security features (please go ahead a make an obvious joke here) , so its a thumbs down from me even if Chrome got out of bed for me and made the coffee . If and When it becomes more secure (eg if it sandboxes itself) and matures from other bugs , I`ll give it a miss from being in effect a beta tester .
