Coldplay on SNL??

alright well i was just watching SNL and thinking about whether coldplay could be on it or not this season. there is a confirmed SNL date on october 25th and coldplay are playing in New Jersey on the 26th so do you think theres a chance they could be on it then?? i was also thinking how chris would be a good host... any chance of that?

i know they were on it in 2005 but they were just performers but i havent heard anything about this season.

Same !! I was wondering the exact same thing ! I think it would be cool if they were on. They could even do a funny sketch

hahahhaa, i was thinking the same EXACT thing tonight!

 

i think they'll definitely perform again, and october seems like a good time, but i think it could be sometime next yearish, too. i wish like HELL that they'd host it, or at least do a sketch (i loooooved the jimmy kimmel thing!), but i doubt it. only rarely do the artists do sketches.

 

i just hope their potential performance will be better than the X&Y one. i found both speed of sound and especially fix you to be sub-par.

I was thinking the same thing a couple months ago, when it was the season finale. I had expected that they would be on the season finale because it was in june and it would have been a perfect time to promote VLV. hopefully they will appear as a musical guest sometime this season, I honestly don't think that Chris would host though. :cry:

When the album was released one of the things I was looking forward to the most was seeing them go through the usual rounds of talk shows...kinda dissapointed they've only done jimmy kimmel and not letterman, leno or conan. SNL would be awesome, does anybody have a link to their 2005 appearance? I've searched desperately in the past and only came up with a video of them performing fix you with the album version dubbed over it! :angry:.

Its funny my sister and I were talking about his as we watched earlier tonight. I mean come on they have the top selling record of the year surely they'll be trying to book them if their smart. But then again when have TV producers been smart...
