SCREENCAPS - How do I make them?

Featured Replies

Apologies if there is already a thread like this, but I couldn't find one.

How do I make a screen cap. Someone did explain it to me when I first joined the board a few months back, but I was just too stupid and scared to have a go :P

Think I'm ready to give it a whirl now...

Can you help?

:)

if you use a laptop there must be a fn key next to ctrl key, must be on the last line on the left, and press at the same time one that says impr pa (ins) that one is on the top at the right side.

at least that is how it goes on my laptop...

on the PC is enough pressing the impr pa key. :)

hope it works.

Just hit the "Prt Scr" key which is somewhere on your keyboard, and post the image into something like Paint to be edited :)

Does anybody know how to do it for a Mac??

Ok, I've got the screencaps, now I'd like to use two of them to make one picture. Canb anyone tell me how I cut out a shape on one and put it on top of the other???

Use GIMP! It's free and there are many tutorials on the net on how to do stuff!

Yeah, I saw someone else mention that on another thread. Will check it out, thanks! :)

I know this post is from like a week ago, but if you still haven't learned how to...

Because I feel lazy this time around and don't feel like typing it out, I just took a picture of the the Mac "help" page...

If you ever have to make a screen-shot to print out, I have found using Powerpoint is the best software to use to just paste the image in (if you have Powerpoint)

PowerPoint is awesome!

It's the only software I'm any good with - it's idiotproof!

Nice

For me Excel is idiotproof, although as what all the functions do I still don't know.
