I GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Featured Replies

lol, always wanted to start a random thread...

I've had little black lines on a couple fingers on my left hand for the past week, I was playing guitar just now, and when I looked closely I saw there were little cavities, like from a papercut in each one. They sting, but I'll be singing along to helter skelter all night! :D

well, this thread has served it's purpose, another wall for cynics to beat their heads against with the satisfaction of realizing it's pointlessness.

Don't spit your dummy out cos I don't like your sig, you asked for an opinion and I gave it.

I too have calluses and blisters on my fingers from too much guitar playing

I have a callous on my right hand's middle finger... because of WRITING.

How do you hold your pencil/pen? My middle finger doesn't even touch the pencil when I write. :nice:

My middle finger tends to rest lower on the pen so it's a bit more stable, I cannot write at all without that middle finger there.

Besides I write heeeeaaaaaps :uhoh:

I had a history exam yesterday that had two large writing sections. My hand was aching the whole time, maybe I push down too hard because I went through four pencils in less than an hour.

I never get calluses but I too have writing problems:sick:

I have very bad form when writing. I hold my pencil so that my index and middle fingers are pressing down hard. And since I write lefty and play guitar righty, that's why I develop so many hand problems and have to stop playing for days and even sometimes weeks at a time.

And that's also why I am now actually training myself to right with my right hand.:smug:

That's confusing  Is it easy to learn how to write with your other hand? I'm a righty and I can't decipher ANYTHING I try to write with my left :laugh3:

I have a callus on my right middle finger. Somehow I always grip my pen in such a way that it'd be resting on the side on the top part of my finger, and I exert an excessive amount of strength when writing. After years of bloody long essays in school, the skin there has grown hard :\

And my fingertips on my left hand... I get cracks and skin peeling off periodically. It's probably because I'm just starting to learn the guitar and my fingertips are still not callused enough to handle the metal strings.
