Oh my.................

A Song for You................so sweet....so adorable....

Exactly the life that I would wish for Guy.

It's the final part, I just thought it was fitting, I had nowhere else to go. I mean, I didn't have any creativity left in me to continue, so.... here it is :)

A Song For You

Chapter 4

The sky above him was clear, the sun glowing in the light blue sky, a warm breeze caressing his face as he walked.

He was headed to the beach. The shorts he had on and the towel that he carelessly put on his shoulder indicated that same destination. The album was officially finished, the winter had been substituted by spring and he was about to take one more big step in his life. It was time. And he couldn’t wait for it to happen. Just thinking about it made him grin like a little boy.

Approaching the stretch of beach where he always used to go, he took off his flip-flops and walked barefoot through the sand, looking at the sea.

It was a shade of blue and green together, making the scenery even more perfect. It was early in the morning so the beach was completely deserted except for one person. The person he was meeting here.

The person that could lead him anywhere. The person that he would follow anywhere.

Silently, he made his way to her spot. She was sitting on a towel, contemplating the calm sea, unaware of his presence. He placed his hands in front of her eyes and softly whispered in her ear.

“Guess who?”

“Mmmhh. A brown-haired, tall, handsome man with a smile that could melt any girl’s heart... Am I right?” Claire said, half-jokingly. She knew the effect her boyfriend had on women. Once upon a time, she had been one of them. Not that she would admit that to him, though.

“Well, I don’t think you’ve got the right man, then.”

She leaned into his embrace, moving her head so that he could kiss her. His beard tickled her in a way that she found irresistible. His gentle hands held her like she was some precious, fragile porcelain doll, similar to those she owned herself.

“You know, I have been thinking and... well, with everything that’s coming up, you should really get some time off work.” He said, disrupting her from her daydreaming.

“We have talked about this. I don’t want to and I am not going to. There’s no reason for it.” She said, determinedly.

“No reason?! Are you kidding me? What about the fact that...”

“I don’t care. I will not change my mind. I’m putting my foot down.”

“My God, why are you so stubborn? Just a few months, it’s no big deal, Claire.”

“I have worked for a long time in that hospital and I’ve had bad times in my life when I didn’t have time for myself. But that’s not the case, right now.”

“See, that’s where you’re wrong. Right now, everything has to be about you. It’s time for you to focus on yourself and on us. If it’s about the money, you don’t...”

“It’s not about that. It’s about the fact that I love my job. And I’m already going to have to take time off work, anyway. So, please, let’s make a deal.”

“I’m listening.” He said, fully aware that she wouldn’t back down and he had to try and make the best arrangement with her. Deep down, he knew he loved her because of this. This selflessness, this strength of character.

“I’ll cut down some hours and the rest of it will be spent in resting and planning for the big day, okay? Do we have a settlement, Mr Berryman?” She asked, sticking out her hand to him.

“Alright, you win.”

“Thank you.” She said, smiling at him and quickly pecking his lips. “Just so you know, from now on I, always win.”

Three months later, the long-awaited day finally came and went, leaving a trace of happiness and love on its way.

It was late August and everything about the day was perfect, in Guy’s opinion. He remembered the look on Claire’s face, the smiles directed at him from his band mates, the support of his beloved family.

The memories brought a smile to his lips.

She was dressed in a white dress that ended just below her knees, her hair was flowing in the same way it was the first time he saw her all those months ago, her face flushed and content.

The sight of her that morning literally took his breath away. This was the woman he was meant to be with, he knew. There was a time when he would have called himself cheesy at that moment, with those romantic thoughts. But he just didn’t care about that anymore. He just cared about the fact that he was happy.

And he was about to get happier.

On that lovely, summery day, Robyn May Berryman was born. Yes, his second daughter was born.

Just like Nico, she was full of life, curious about everything and smiley. She inherited her mother’s breathtaking beauty, turning her into a small version of Claire. Everything but the eyes.

He could see his eyes mirrored on her own. Just like when his first child was born. They shared the same intensity in those enchanting, serene brown eyes.

And looking at them was the best feeling in the world for him. He could feel reassurance and comfort invading his whole body, his confidence in life reaching its pinnacle.

As he sat on his rocking chair in the back of his home, looking at the garden full of lilies and blossoms, his life seemed far too good to be true. Like he was living a dream. But he wasn’t. And he had evidences of that. The two little girls playing in the grass right next to him. His eldest daughter came up to him, running and coming straight into his open arms. He pulled her into his lap. She was celebrating her fourth birthday that day.

“Daddy? What are you gonna give me?” She asked, impatient to get her gift from her father.

The question made him smile. He looked at her, telling her the very same thing he had told his other daughter only a few weeks ago.

“A song, honey. I wrote a song for you.”

:bigcry: that was so wonderful!!

Thank you all for your kind comments. :)

And yes, jknc, I wish this was Guy's real life. He deserves all the happiness and love in the world. It's all I wish for him!

Chapter 5

Madeline

"Hey!!! Hey!!" Chris yelled, "Stop right there. She doesn't need to hear anymore about what happened after that," he said, laughing.

"I'm a big girl, dad," Madeline told him, "I think I pretty much know what happened after that."

Chris looked at Jonny, who was blushing terribly.

"Well, okay," he said, "I guess you do know at that. But that is pretty much the story of how we fell in love," Chris told her.

"And then you decided to adopt me?" She asked.

"No," Jonny told her, "We didn't tell anyone about our relationship for a long time. We weren't sure how they would take it?"

"You mean, Uncle Guy and Uncle Will?" She asked.

"Yeah, we thought it might cause problems in the band. But we didn't have to tell them. Eventually they came to us and asked. And we just told them the truth then."

"We didn't decide to adopt you until we were already finished with the band. We always said we would probably retire before we reached forty and we did," Chris told her.

"And I always wanted to have kids," Jonny told her, "So we adopted you."

"So," Chris asked, "Did we answer your question?"

She smiled thoughtfully at him and said, "Oh yeah, definitely."

"Good,"he told her, "Now get upstairs and do your homework before dinner."

The End

I thought that was strangely bittersweet. Somehow, it felt...sad. Maybe it's because Chris said the band broke up before they were forty.

jknc it was awesome.... you're really a good writer.....

PART...um...6.

“So, um…what’s going on?” asked Guy, finding his way into the room. He was toweling off his hair, which was barely even wet. He took a seat by Jonny’s desk and yawned widely.

“We’re going to Mama’s old house.” I said. Guy groaned, and suddenly Jonny slapped himself on the forehead. The sound made me jump; it was very loud. “What is it?” I asked, frowning.

“We can’t go now! It’s one in the morning, remember?”

“Oh…right.” I muttered. No wonder I was so tired.

“Can we crash here?” asked Guy, moving from the seat to Jonny’s bed.

“Well, actually…”

“Thanks, Jon!” interrupted Guy, his head already on the pillow.

“But I didn’t…uh...”

“Please Jon? I really don’t want to have to go back to my car and drive him home.” I whined, pointing at the dark-haired bassist. “He’s a vicious, bitter drunk.”

“Oh, shut the fuck up, you sorry excuse for a front man…”

“See what I mean?” I cried. I felt tears threatening to fall and quickly wiped them away. “Please let us stay. I’ll sleep on the floor if I have to.”

“Okay, Chris. Fine.” sighed Jonny. “You can sleep in the guest room.”

“What about me?”

“You can have the sofa.”

“But I want the bed.”

“Then you’ll have to share it with me!” said Jonny, crossing his arms stubbornly. Guy thought for a moment then shrugged.

“I don’t mind.” he muttered. Jonny was silent for a moment. It was obvious he had been hoping Guy would take off for the sofa at the thought of sharing a bed. Because the truth was, Jonny would rather take a hike off the nearest cliff than share a bed with the man. Guy hogged all the blankets and was known to have unconscious pillow fights with the person next to him.

“Never mind. I’ll take the sofa.” Jonny murmured in defeat. He took an extra pillow from the other side of the bed and stood up. I looked down, and Guy gave me a smug grin. Oh, the cheeky little bastard. Jonny and I made our way out, but we purposely left the lights on.

“So.” said Jonny, throwing the pillow down on the sofa. “Are you going to bed?”

“I guess.” The truth was, I didn’t want to leave Jonny all alone. Mama’s warning still bounced around in my head, and I wanted to make sure my Jonny-boy was okay. Even if it meant sitting up the whole night and staring at him. “I think I’ll just stay here in the armchair.”

“Why?” asked Jonny, ruffling his hair. "The guest room’s perfectly fine. There’re no spider webs or anything. My cousin just used it…”

“I’ll stay on the chair, thanks.” I huffed, trying to make myself comfortable. I brought my legs up and nestled my head into the nice fake leather. At least I hoped it was fake leather.

YAY, you posted  Thank you!

Oh boy, did I love this chapter?

Guy - Same funny drunkness, only now he was meaner; Chris - the crying(as usual), the sweetness towards Jonny and the concern for the poor animals at the end:); and finally Jon - poor Jonnyboy basically kicked out of his own bed...

hmm... Jonny, Chris, and Guy all sleeping in Jonny's apartment, with Guy in Jonny's bed and Jonny and Chris in the living room...

...

:P

drunk Guy =

and i liked the last line.

yay for 300!!

hmm... Jonny, Chris, and Guy all sleeping in Jonny's apartment, with Guy in Jonny's bed and Jonny and Chris in the living room...

:D:D:D
