December 28, 200916 yr I dont know if the company is still running, but there is a more modern version of it:
December 28, 200916 yr Who want's to be the sexy gardener I cheat on my Husband with?!?! Who wants to be my husband?? :gorgeous: Anyone? Anyone? No...? Yes...? :disappointed:
December 28, 200916 yr Ive never really watched a soap opera, I need some examples of what roles are on offer. My experience from gripping reality based soap operas is that I could be: The guy who works at the shop Im running out of ideas.
December 28, 200916 yr Yes  i was impregnated and i had gave birth before i was even conceived :D K :D I still need a husband, being a single mom would be too SCANDALOUS!
December 28, 200916 yr So being a married woman who is having an affair with a gardener and giving birth to a daughter before you were conceived is LESS scandalous than being a single mother?
December 28, 200916 yr Soap Opera make me sick. It will always have the concept of: Rchh Girl/Poor Boy Poor Boy/Rich Girl
December 28, 200916 yr Hmm, not to assume you would ever want to marry me, but Ive taken on this thread as a project in the battle against the other (pathetic lousy racist) thread, and I will legally marry you if it maintains the popularity of it, ivet. Im not religious, so there would be no problems with the inevitable divorce, but, will you marry me?
December 28, 200916 yr Soap Operas are hilarious, the acting is so terrible! They usually try to make everything seem so dramatic when it isn't even that bad.
December 28, 200916 yr Soap operas in the US are completely different from the ones in Ireland/UK. US goes for escapism, UK attempts reality, but as the US 'culture' continues to infiltrate, UK soap operas are becoming escapist.
December 28, 200916 yr I'm more interested in the soap than the opera part. Zud - amazing - some brand names never die!! Anyhow, I think the early ones were 'brought to you' by palm olive, or Fels Naptha, or some others... No soap, no opera - that's the deal!! (and yes, it's always a Romeo-Juliet type thing going on - all the high drama stuff.. )
December 28, 200916 yr My grandma has been watching As the World Turns since 1956... I dont know the show, but that is madness. Thats long enough to live a relatively short lifetime.
December 28, 200916 yr It's an American Soap Opera, and I agree. She watches it everyday it's on, it's ridiculous! I'm so glad it finally getting canceled, now my grandma can finally get out of the house.
December 28, 200916 yr My grandma has been watching As the World Turns since 1956... My grandma got run over by a reindeer I miss gramma :(
December 28, 200916 yr My grandma got run over by a reindeer I miss gramma :( Oooh, I remember that cartoon! I never liked it, though. :uhoh:

December 28, 200916 yr And now, as the World Turns.. (Music: bloo woo doo doo doo doo de doo..)
