~~OH BOY OBAMA, OTAY BUCKWHEAT~~

Featured Replies

"Mutts like me?" How can you loose with a President who can laugh at himself like that, in front of the entire planet?

Here is YOUR chance to tell President "Half-Breed" YOUR well thought out and concise 3 point plan to save humanity and the universe from the EVIL DOERS who come from the mean planet Carlyle.

And rest assured that in all probability, he will most likely never read any of this, but then you never know... So help save mankind from himself, the evil doers, and avoid imminent Armageddon. Share your ideas now, here is my plan MR President...

1) Give Gordon Brown of Great Britain control of the world Banking system and at least then we own that part of the circus.

2) Eliminate the current world financial model which dictates that everyone in society must "compete" with one another for food and shelter. Maybe in the 5th century that was OK, but not now thank you. Let Jeremy Rifkin run the world economy and make all the rules over again so as your life savings did end up as so much "personal wealth" at the bottom of some "ceo's" wealth asset sheet, after the public gave them billions to "loan out " again, but which has just... disappeared? Is that George Orwell I hear puking in Heaven?

3) I would lastly create a World Bill of Rights for every living thing on this planet, affording all life forms the same rights I as a human would expect, whether be I a bug or a blue whale. If we had a framework like that to give some direction to this now almost amoral world, then maybe we might start to solve some of the problems we have today. Because what we have now is exactly what the wizards on Wall Street (with help from their Cyborg Munchkin Zombies in Government) created after they had finished pushing all their computer model buttons and inventing ever more exotic "derivatives" to ""trade amongst themselves" as Mike Myers ("I'm beklempfed") would say? What particular brand of CHAOS would one reasonably expect from the system in place? What we have now? It's a no-brain er. Throw it out, go ask Einstein. Then go ask your cat.

4) So there you have it Mr. President, this is your big chance to save mankind from itself, (in the first hundred days too!). It really is (not) this simple but its starting point. And like Saint Christopher Martin once said long ago, "if you don't like your life... change it". It's a no- brainer President Buckwheat.

And may the Chris be with you as you try to decide what dog will be the next PresiDog. Because only you as President of The United States of America, only you Sir, have the power to make that decision, for the betterment of all humanity, of course, Mr.President. Buckwheat say, "Oh boy Obama, it about time, they found someone, so real and so fine".

Good luck Buckwheat.

(i in no way accept responsibility for any of the flak this silly little piecs of "invention" may or may not cause in this or any other world.) What's your PLan??? Share now with the Cosmos...)

I would uh, have paid attention there, but this sentence taunted my eyes with sharp knives and waggling of the tongue.

Wow...

What a cool thread eh? I am sure the President will definately come here for inspiration the

way Einstein did when he had trouble with his equations. I feel beeter knowing I helped to save

the world (I am just assuming we survived the next 25 years).

PS. Also (after steps 1-3) give everyone free money, and make available to all people on earth (at no cost), the recipe for powdered water.

1) Give Gordon Brown of Great Britain control of the world Banking system and at least then we own that part of the circus.

he wasn't bad at that job. But now he's a Championship player playing in the Premiership.

Hahaha

Britain nor America should be running global finances, it's clear our nations don't understand basic economics.

Wow, I was Right...

I knew that Obama would come here to understand the wisdom of all the intelligent people who listen to Coldplay. But seriously, can anyone save this rapidly sinking ship?

I am no economic prognosticator, but I look at what is going on out there and it does not feel very comfortable.

Could I please test drive another car Mr. Car Lot Owner? Rioting in Greece about the labour activist and the acid / but the real story is imported low cost labour displacing Greek nationals.

Who "deserves" to work? Under our current system, the correct answer is: not everyone.

The situation in the Middle East? It's a proven fact that if you have a job, you won't become Jonny Jihad. It's all too simple really, but no one wants to upset the status quo. And peole actually believe the experts? Like my crystal ball is more clear than yours? If you want to "fix the problem", then just call Tony Fontanna. He will tell Mr. Grreedy man where to go.

It's as though all the experts are arguing about the colour of the paint, they propose to apply to the Titanic, as if either mattered, as a solution to the problem of being sunk by an iceberg. Fixing the system is an oxymoron. If anyone can tell me how we can have a peaceful harmonious world (that's what I want) with the current version of free market chaos death and destruction running the world psyche, then I'd like to hear it.

Proof of mass world psychosis and denial are the current batch of banking adds running in Canada and the US. (Bear in mind that Obama (got it from me for sure) is floating the idea of nationalizing some of the banks (all?) which the taxpayer most likely has bought a few times over now already with the bailout cash). And it is so hypocritical of these morons (Wall Street), that when they crash daddy's car and need to get it fixed (and payed for) they go to the public? But God forbid, don't ever let the public CONTROL the free market or ever OWN a part of it. TYFor them that would be creepier than the movie Aliens (which has to be the best spook flick ever / no, it's not about BLACK people / it's about a monster from space which just happens to be black)./

The adds are all saying that if you give us your money now, in the future (30 years from now) you will be warm and fed, and we won't be delivering you "check" every month to the cardboard box you live in, down by the river. Fed Up with all the bullshit maybe! Get serious, it's all about coded paper, bits of data, borrowed "credit", smoke and mirrors, rainmaking and look what the cat just dragged in from the back yard?. What a great way to run a world? Why not just create HELL, when you can just as easily create HEVEAN.

And even if they can get this thing breathing again, are we all going to go on merrily like there is no tomorrow?

Which brings me to clarify my pet theory on imminent world freezing. I know most of my original 5 devotees thought I was half intelligent until I floated my ice theory, and now I only have 3 devotees left. I won't let you down.

I believe that with all the "warming"of the past two hundred years, we have now melted so much ice that the worlds ecosystem has reached an h2o saturation point, which has started to cause the world to cool. But, the poles will get warmer, as is happening, with the "cold zone" shifting farther south and lasting longer than normal. Or maybe nothing will happen.

Don't say nobody warned you, when nothing ever did happen.

Some in the scientific community speculate that is the north Atlantic conveyor belt stops, then the northern hemisphere will be much cooler and drier, but I cannot say for certain.. Lots of simultaneous equations and variables that far out, and some we may not yet fully understand (like what humans might do to counteract it)..

I think it's essential to correct the mistakes of the past, even if we slide further down the economic slope Rob, as it's really the money pouring in from the bad actors that's mucking up politics in general. But what to do, what to do.. How about advice from independent, non-partisan sources about which course to take with the economy? I'm no expert at it either, and seeing as the derivatives market was cooked up by some top-notch mathematicians and physicists, maybe it's time to get a new group together with a little more cautious approach to markets in order to "fix it". But yes, I think the economy is still very detached from ecology and reality, and a lot of citizens are left out of the whole thing. When something like 1 - 2 Billion people live on $2 per day or less, it's so imbalanced as to be absurd. And it's predicated on some scarce, and non-renewable resources that are used inefficiently, so it's inherently flawed in design at present. And yes, too much emphasis on competition and not enough on shared values and sharing in general. The idea that there is only one motivator is absurd - people are motivated by love, a sense of responsibility to others, creativity, the thrill of discovery, a sense of accomplishment at attaining a goal, etc. Money is but one of many motivators, and can sometimes be cold and harmful to humanity if not tempered by defense of the public's well-being. Obama's advisers are a mix, and unfortunately some are of the school of thought that brought us to the brink. Hopefully, they'll see the need for change and mend their ways, lest we sink further in the pit of the financial mess.

Did you watch the PBS special on Money? I found it interesting, in that the investors trained by the ENRON method fled the company when it imploded, and brought their bad ideas to many of the Wall-Street firms. Having learned nothing from the failure, they ran the same ponzi schemes within these respectable investment firms that were part and parcel to the collapse. I think if we can get the big money out of politics, and get new representation, we might undo the damage. Regulation to prevent the practices that occured is necessary and good - there is a role for honest government to play, as markets are not so "self correcting" as some might assume. Oh perhaps they correct themselves, but after giant firms crash, and the stampeed mires us in deep recession, I'll take the government oversight, and get our government back in the hands of ordinary citizens.

Yes, the middle east is like anywhere - when there's not enough employment and little outlook for a better future, young people turn to any number of things, some of which can be good (community service), and some of which not so good in their search for meaning and value in life.

I've been wondering myself this: Some people think that there's limited 'resources' to go around, so therefore, some people will have to do without. Now, this is both an assumption that looks at things from a limited view of our ability to use common resources, and it assumes there will be shortages of even the common things, like food and water. But really, there's plenty if we use resources efficently, and make common elements into more and more things. Even water - what is wrong with the idea of solar desalination and irrigation of desert regions? Or using glass, ceramics, aluminum, silicon solar cells, natural fibers, etc. to supplant current demand for nickel, copper, coal, oil, and gas? What little is necessary can then be used efficiently, and I think the problems are quite solveable. Maybe I'm nuts, but if we remove the impediments in our minds, we ofen find we can solve these riddles and move towards a green future.

Anyhow, just jabbering here! LOL with all the problems, and Obama's tendency to by too cautious. Write him a letter - he might respond!
