All the people around me

Oh I love this thread! :nice:

I get inspiration from a lot of different places. From people that I admire, whether they'd be my friends or a celebrity that I think does something good.

I also read a lot of different blogs, so I get a lot of inspiration for fashion and cooking from other people as well.

Music can inspire me as well. A song that can motivate me to do something is great in my eyes. :D

Funny you should bring this up. I heard on the news a couple of weeks ago that teenagers were drawing more inspiration from their friends or music rather than their parents setting an example. Experts believe that today's generation we being left to be independent much earlier in their lives leaving them with a weak conection with there parents. Just though i would add that little snippet.

Anyway, as for my inspirations they usually come from music or books that I read. Sometimes I take ideas from people around me but usually at school I'm the one setting the example and inspiring others. I dont know why they feel this way about me (maybe because I get like dux every year or maybe just because Im really nice to other people or willing to help them) but whatever the reason, thats how it is. I also draw inspiration from adults that I am around particually my parents and teachers.

I can believe that. Because I'm the same way. :P I'm very liberal (where as my parents are pretty conservative) so we butt heads a lot. I don't want to sound like I'm 'up it' or anything, but a lot of the things I've learned about being my own person and all, I didn't learn from my parents. I choose not to get drunk and be sexually promiscuous, etc. not because my parents tell me I shouldn't, but I choose that for myself. I choose to want to do good in school. I choose a lot who I am, and I know a lot of it my parents don't approve of. So all my life I've basically had to pick up from elsewhere.

That being said, I do connect with my mom a lot better than my dad. She sometimes is an inspiration for being successful and working very hard.

what a cute thread!

well, i mainly get my inspiration from music, books and people around me.

sadly, i find bad things that happen to me and the people around me more inspiring than good things.

The world outside, my own experiences, and new ground broken by other people/artists.

That's a good point, Grace. You can learn a lot from mistakes. Even if they other people's mistakes. :)

maybe it's me and my weird emo self, but happiness is seems so boring. hehe.

i don't know.

i get weird feelings when i'm happy. i'm already fearing the time when everything's coming back at me, when everything's going wrong again. happiness is such a temporary thing.

Haha awww don't worry about it, Grace. Shit happens but when it's good, it can't be SO bad. Man, I wish things are pretty happy now. But there's always to be good and bad parts in life that happen all at once. Bad things make you appreciate the good things.

I'm like Chris Martin in the sense I cant tell the difference between inspiration and plagiarism. So he's an inspiration I guess.
