March 1, 200917 yr Snow Delayed, But Still Coming The snow is taking a little while to reach the metro area, but moderate snow has developed to our south and southeast in Stafford (Va.), Charles (Md.) and Calvert (Md.) counties. Up to an inch of snow has already accumulated around La Plata, Md. Snow will overspread the metro area between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m., with accumulating snow starting mostly after 8 p.m. Our accumulation forecast of 4-8" for the metro area has not changed (more east, less west).
