You know I've never been able to hear the electric eye bit before that everyone else was convinced about...I just didn't get it. Had a good, proper listen (with headphones ;) ) & the penny's dropped :dozey: the el-ect-ric eye isn't it? Mind you, I'd say it was just "The el-ect-ric eye see" rather than see you :shrug: The pink bit I think you've got spot on (or as close as we'll ever get anyway) plus I think that bit is Magne singing. Makes me wonder who sings the Electric Eye bit cos it's not Jonas despite the higher pitch :\

ya, I'll admit 'see "you"' is more of a guess. Either something is being said after 'see' or they've put some kind of echo effect in there to make it sound like a word.

 

As for who's singing what, it's also possible they could have doubled up some voice tracks or changed the voice pitch, much like how they have the ET voice in there and the one that's spelling out "Apparatjik" :P Experimental-type music leaves room for ridiculous amounts of creativity.

I'm fairly sure it's growing and not crawling. There's too much of an "ow" sound. If it was a "cr" it would be crowing. :thinking.

On the Jonas part, I definitely agree that it is the sun is fire, but it also just happens to sound like the sun aspire. :P

And then I don't hear "shouldn't" I just don't here the "n't" part. I think it's just "should."

Well Catherine said that Mags specifically pronounced it as Ap-arat-chik in an interview, and there is audio, so I'm just going to keep saying it that way. I don't even like a-para-teak.

Well actually, if I remember my dutch lessons well, when there's a 'tj' in a row, you gotta pronounce it 'tch'. So Appara-tchik makes more sense. Though I am only supposing that we should pronounce it the dutch way :P

Hi Oracle - thanks for answering an Apparatjik related question on here. A lot of us Coldplay (and Mew & a-ha) fans are loving the Apparatjik project and following their random craziness. It's a difficult word to pronounce, but it's definately not ap-ara-teak, sorry. It's literally pronounced app-ara-chick (hence the apparat-chick reference for the fans) - this is also the way Magne pronounces it. I'd love it if you could tell us which one of the Apparatjiks came up with the bandname (I'm guessing it was Mags) But if you can't answer that, perhaps you could tell us if Guy's having as much fun with this project as he seems to be? All the apparatchicks wish him the best of luck with the rehearsals and the first gig in Berlin. Thanks Oracle. - Paula
