I gotta agree with that Politik statement,

I have been satisfied with the single selection of Parachutes & X&Y.

 

From VLVODAAHF: I hoped that they put out Strawberry Swing as a single in the summer.

That would have gone HUGE.

A lot of Politik fans here are quite happy that Politik was never a single, just to have such an awesome non-mainstream song. I have to agree.

 

While I think 4 singles per album is plenty, here's some I feel could have worked:

- Green Eyes

- White Shadows

- Swallowed in the Sea

- Glass of Water

- Rainy Day

 

Really, I can't see any others working well.

White shadows, and maybe 42.

they are all good. i prefer to keep the good songs in the album, not as singles. viva la vida is a great song, but i'm bored of it because of the massive radio airplay here:dozey:

I agree that we really wouldn't need more singles.

Off Parachutes I'd have liked to see Don't Panic as an actual single with b-sides, not the limited release..

Off AROBTTH Amsterdam would've made a good single imho, although I like it as an album closer as well.

Off X&Y I personally would've gone for A Message instead of The Hardest Part, and I would've made a much better video as well :P

Off Viva La Vida I'd have liked Strawberry Swing, and off Prospekt's March I can see why they went with LiT II as a single, but Glass of Water is just more interesting, especially since we hadn't heard that before.

 

And I would've done Moses as a single, studio version and all. Cause that's just a great song, and it would've made a nice teaser while waiting for X&Y.

Really? Barring Politik and maybe Amsterdam, I'm really surprised you think the others could be singles. It's strange because I don't highly rate We Never change, X&Y and Twisted Logic to be honest. Prospekt's March I love, but I feel it's an album song more than anything.

Personally I'd have loved to have seen Spies and Warning Sign released as well as Swallowed in the Sea and 42.

When I realized that Politik was never released as a single I was shocked lol.

Glass of Water. Otherwise, Im happy.
