Random Act Of Kindness (To An animal) Day!!!

Featured Replies

Some of you have already seen this on facebook, but I thought I'd post it here too.

A lot of people on fb are extremely angry over the story of Dusty, a cat who was abused by two teenage boys who then posted the video to YouBoob. I thought as a way to put that anger to good use, I'd declare April 19th (My b-day;)) Random Act Of Kindness To An Animal Day. I'm hoping to get thousands of people doing something nice for a neighbour's pet or a local SPCA. Here's a link to the group if you want to join.

Not that we animal lovers don't do this every day, but a global day would be WAY cool!:D

I found a bag of catnip on top of the TV in our media room, I think my sister bought it a while ago. So I let one of our cats sniff it. I guess that was kind.

Oh and when I end up doing community service for the horrific crime I committed a few weeks ago, I'll probably work with animals somewhere. (People who read the news section of the forum will know what I'm referring to).

Sounds like a nice idea....

April 19th is the day of my Killer's concert, so I'm sure I'll remember to be extra kind to an animal that day. :)

I try to be kind to animals all the time, I really like them :nice: and this idea is great! :)

I refrained from sticking the parrot in the freezer when it was being obnoxious today.

:nice:

What an icky thought.

I would never be able to have a bird as a pet. It would terrify me.

It actually is kind of terrifying. And noisy. And poopy.

But he's adorable. Seriously. And the poop doesn't smell bad, luckily.

I would never be able to touch a bird.. Way too scary. <_< Dead birds horrify/terrify me soooooooo much. So disgusting.

Well, the point of having a pet is sort of having one that ISN'T dead... :P

although I agree, dead birds are the saddest things... :bigcry:

Yeah, I know. I was just talking about how much birds scare me in general. :p

in order to be around a parrot you have to have lots of confidence or they'll get all scared and bite you... They act like children half the time and wolves the other half

awesome:P have anyone ever heard of BSL? (breed specific legislation) its the most fucked up thing ever thought of!!!!!!!! look it up, im too lazy to explain:P

You mean the stuff about pit bulls and so on? That's really... breedist. :( I feel for ya.

i hugged a snail the other day when i went out for dinner- then i ate him:(

we save up our loose change and 3 times a year we cash in the change and by a whole bunch of pet items and donate the stuff to our local animal shelter. My mom also wrote a book that the shelter sells and the shelter gets to keep the donations from the books.
