Corkus
Fix You, no matter how overdone, is going nowhere. It's too big. I don't even see it leaving for the LP5 tour, and it may even outlive Speed of Sound. I don't mind cycling out Cemeteries of London every now and then for something, though. The live version isn't too remarkable.
Open-Politik
^SOS is now a acoustic so its probaly going to go or not be as important. I just wish they'd mix it up abit. One day they play Fix You, One they dont.
Lore
it's true, they won't delete fix you from the setlist.. some of us don't have 4 tourlegs (not even one really ) so maybe some people would feel really disappointed if they don't see fix you/viva la vida/yellow,etc live
Corkus
Not to mention that other than VLV (which is insanity), Fix You is probably the biggest sing-along.

Lyric
They should play White Shadows. :( Infinitely better than Fix You...

CMJBGBWC
They should play White Shadows. :( Infinitely better than Fix You... :bigcry: nooooooo! i love that song and it would be awesome if they included it but i would be heartbroken if they replaced fix you with it :(
Tnspieler1012
For the rest of their careers Coldplay are never going to leave Yellow, In My Place, Clocks or Fix You you out of a setlist. I promise you that... And while you may hate the song, you must admit Fix You is huge live, and Coldplay would never give up a track that charges a crowd the way it does... Corkus
Yellow and Clocks are most certainly gonna be played for the rest of the band's careers, and I'm betting Viva la Vida will be also. My friend told me the other day that it must suck to write songs like that, because you're stuck singing them for life, and if you don't, your fans will riot. It's difficult to predict such a distant future, but I agree that both Fix You and In My Place have a lot of staying power (though IMP is largely for the "YEAH!" moments). And goodness, has this topic totally derailed from discussing Twisted Logic. :laugh3:
Sleep
Yeah, Chris is going to be singing Viva la Vida for the rest of his life, every day.(well until he retires) And he bounces around and everything... man.. lol. I dunno how hes gonna be able to do it. And Fix You better never go. Its the best Coldplay song ever.
Tnspieler1012
^ Oh I forgot the latest album. Viva la Vida is the 4th or 5th song that they'll ALWAYS play in the future. The other singles may stay around for at least another tour. Problem is, every album's going to have a "Violet Hill" (Politik, How you see you world), and a "Cemeteries of London" (Spies, GPASUYF etc.) So when your latest material is the priority, and your list of songs to choose from stretches with each album...they can't afford to keep two similar songs on the setlist. We saw from this tour how only Fix You, Talk and Speed of Sound (and The Hardest Part in a way) stayed on the tag from X&Y, and we only really saw "Yellow" from Parachutes. I'm sort glad they did play Yes for the first half of last year's tour and COL for the second half because chances are, as soon as the next album comes out, we'll never see those songs played live again, just as we'll never see White Shadows or What If (except on rare, special occasions) again...
