I wonder where Violet is these days. I haven't seen her around too much  hmm

Oh, I'm here and there, and I'm losing my mind...

Oh, I'm here and there, and I'm losing my mind...

I think that probably happened right before you decided to be a music major

I believe you mean right AFTER I decided to become a music major. :laugh3:

Chances are high that Violet will read this in this thread:

I'm checking out some Muse stuff right now. I started with Black Holes And Revelations. Right now Starlight is on. That's the song I really really liked when it came out. Then I forgot about it for some time... ah the memories :nice:

I'll tell you what I think of Muse when I hear more songs, right now it's impossible :P

...And Millie is right. :nice:

Black Holes and Revelations was actually my first album of theirs. I was enlightened by them when I bought it and started listening to it on my 17th birthday. :) "Starlight" is such a pretty song. My personal fave off that album, however, is "City of Delusion." That is, unless the Japanese bonus track "Glorious" counts. Then it's a tie. :p

Well I have been getting into Muse a little bit recently as well. It's not like I thought it would be.

:O O RLY? What have you been listening to? :)

Origin of Symmetry. I'm intrigued so far.

Ahhh, that makes sense. That album's the one that goes way out there, the truly "alternative" album, if you will. That, I think, is why a lot of people like it, because it's so different. On the other hand, as frontman Matt Bellamy once said, other people might find it to be "pretentious w*nk."

I'm personally an Absolution lover myself, but that's only because of my love for piano. :P Although actually, there's plenty of that in OoS, too. Like "Space Dementia." :D

Their album art really draws me in. Having never heard them before, that has a big effect on me :P Except for Showbiz, which has kind of stupid art

AGREED.

"Showbiz" in itself took me a bit to get into. Seeing as it's their first album, they're not as refined. However, their raw talent is evident, I think, which is why I grew to like it. I could feel the music, you know?

I will say that I like the Origin of Symmetry album art better than the other albums, although they're all quite nice.

Alright right now Hoodoo is on. So far my favorites are: Starlight, Supermassive Black Hole and Invincible. But that'll change tomorrow already! :P

Oh wait, now it's Knights Of Cydonia.

I'm leaving now, bye!

(And Brdforallseasons, I didn't get to talk to you now, hopefully we'll talk soon... My name is Milica by the way)

Oh and wait again. My 4th fav is Knights Of Cydonia.

Bye!

Bye, Millie!

*sigh* Seeing such Museness makes me feel good. :smug2:

^^MK's post cracks me up :P

and yes the art for Origin of Symmetry is really neat. It reminds me of a cross between Dr. Seuss and some kind of existential poetry.

Wow, I like the analogy. I've never thought of it that way...

OH! xD

I'm not really sure. I'm quite mystified by it. I don't grasp the concept of art that well. :p

If I had to guess, I'd say it's trying to give the impression of loneliness

Well, it's a downer, as far as the mood of the album is concerned. I believe it's meant to be that way. I think it was during the OoS era that Matt and his then-girlfriend broke up, and some of that might've have went into the writing, seeing as he writes all the songs.

But then again, it may be something else. I don't know what goes on in that man's mind. xD

But I'm sure you'd like to know better

OMG, YES. To be able to have a one-on-one conversation with Matt...gosh, not much can top that. He's so eclectic in everything, and I like that about him.
