I really like languages but my French teachers were so bitchy that I didn't even want to learn the language since last year.

They always searched mistakes and made fun of me and my class mates. :veryangry2:

good point. What helps me is hearing the perspective of someone who hasn't lived their whole life in the slang and stupid habits of American English. They use the "proper" meanings of words, which makes me want to do that too :)
