If Satriani has a case then...

What about this song by Kelly Rowland and David Guetto...

Sure it's not a direct copy of Clocks but it does have very strong similarities. I do believe that Coldplay's lawyers rest their case. On another point - it isn't really the backing music of Viva La Vida that shares a resemblance to Satriani but rather the way Chris strings his words and if I can continue, Chris doesn't emphasise on words, what I mean is that if you said what he was singing with out a sing song voice it would still be in the same sort of pattern as the song. So Satriani it's just coincidence mate........ but actually the main purpose of this post was that link, to hear your thoughts and opinions on this rather similar Clocks song.

This is also similar:

(And I think this should be in Coldplay section, not the lounge :nice:)

If you think that's copied, then listen to this one:

That's Square One all over, mate!

there's a pretty long list of other artist that have copied coldplay, specially clocks...

shakira's la pared first version was a clear copy, so clear that she edited it and changed it slightly.

yah it sounds like someone took the square one instrumental version, cut it into it's sections, mixed the order up, then let her sing something random over it.

i swear you're right, it sounds exactly like square one

If we look at the origin of any given song, it may have many roots going back a long, long time. Once, people just played for the fun of it!:laugh3: Long live life.
