A tour like what U2 are doing is definitely horrible for the environment and I agree with the above comments that are "bashing" them. Rightfully so. Worldwide tours of this magnitude are mass consumption and consumerism in action.

What exactly are they doing other than any other band who's touring? Lots of lights and a big stage show? NIN had a huge lights show on their last tour, and they weren't bashed like this.

 

I'm not saying Bono and company are completely innocent, but give them a break. U2 are always coming under fire for one stupid thing or another.
