I JUST watched the 3rd episode of the 3rd season at work :lol: thank god it was only 50 mins.... barely had time to eat and get back before lunch was over... I love this job they've got Showtime On Demand :dance:

Well there was much done in her favor...!All the back-and-forth 'religious' battle on the saintity of their marriage lasted for 7 years!!! And the pope ruled in her favour, which was THE ultimate proof on her favour to the world's eye in that time!!

Her nephew side to her but Charles V couldn't get 'against' England that much because he had his personnal vendetta against France and King Francis going on...(which lasted all his life). So Charles V needed England to go against France...he was in an unconfortable position between his aunt's interest and his own...!!! If he ruled clearely for his aunt, it would have mean war (so cost) and no support against France! Plus he was on/off at war with us, so he would have had to manage wars on two fronts and it would have fragilize (?) his empire!!

And same goes for King Francis! On one hand, he was catholic (so more on Katherine's side) but on the other, he needed England to go against Charles V...! Plus, the Boleyn family was good to France and promote our interest in England, so it wouldn't have been wise to go against the rise of the Boleyn... King Francis too was in a mixed position.

Not so much less familiar just my memory of it is foggy at best :).... but I see what you're saying as far as Charles V not being able to help even more, if that's the right word for it.

I totally got things mixed up in my head I thought Charles was Katherine's uncle not nephew. I understand his position. he has a kingdom of his own to rule and to put everything behind his aunt isn't acting in the best interest of his people.

Yeah my work has cable tv in the break rooms. I work as a dispatcher for the fire dept in Las Vegas.

 

Loving season 3 but I'm still behind :( only up to episode 4. Brandon, hmm.... I think will find it hard to complete this particular task, "for fear of losing my kings love" :cry: I love Jane, I think she's gotten a raw deal with Henry, since he's already taken a mistress :angry: but yay she's pregnant :dance: but sad because of what happens after :bigcry:
