August 2, 200916 yr Well it was just made for Graham Swann................................
August 2, 200916 yr Author England all out for 376. Unless England can get the Aussies out sharpish without losing too much of a lead, it does look like a draw.
August 2, 200916 yr key will be the weather tomorrow, if it stays dry most of the day England will have a good chance. Otherwise draw
August 2, 200916 yr Author England needs to get the Aussies out quickly, without allowing them to get a good score, and then to get in the 2nd innings and reach the target without losing too many wickets within the time.
August 2, 200916 yr Author Looks like some good TV watching tomorrow. What am I supposed to be doing work at work when the camp is on block-leave?
August 3, 200916 yr Author And it's a draw. 1-0 to England with 2 tests to go, roll on the 4th test :)
August 3, 200916 yr I think that was England's best chance of winning the Ashes, I hope I'm wrong though.
August 22, 200916 yr as long as there isn't an England collapse today the ashes should be ours! :D Well they've already started to collapse if yesterday evening's anything to go by.......................... :dozey:
August 22, 200916 yr Author As long as England can get the Aussies out sharpish without them getting a lot of runs, than the ashes shall be ours
August 23, 200916 yr Australia are well capable of batting themselves back into this game. 460 more runs are achieveable given their good start at the close yesterday.
August 23, 200916 yr Australia are well capable of batting themselves back into this game. 460 more runs are achieveable given their good start at the close yesterday. It's a false dawn. The pressure will tell eventually. Just a matter of time.;)
August 23, 200916 yr England bowl Australia out for 348 to win the final Test at The Oval by 197 runs and regain the Ashes with a 2-1 series victory. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/england/8215361.stm
August 23, 200916 yr Just read an interesting observation on BBC Sport - Monty's batting at Cardiff basically won us The Ashes :D
August 23, 200916 yr England Regain The Ashes! Yes! The most treasured prize in cricket is returning back into English hands! What a fantastic achievement considering the team have had an awful 4 years since the heavenly days of Vaughan's team in 2005. For a side which lost embarrassingly to the West Indies away at the beginning of the year this is a sensational turnaround. Admirable.
