It's hard to say; I don't think I've ever been surprised that much by a fan-fic. The shock value of two certain bandmates gettin' it on is all but gone, and that's usually the fic., or even series, in a nutshell. There's nothing else to add. No innovations, no sub-plots, and no true surprises.

That's not to say I don't enjoy these fics., shoot, I love 'em to bits. But in all honesty, when I go back to read a good, suspenseful book, I read all of it. But with most fan-fics, I just skip to the good parts. It sounds shallow and a little unfair to the writers, but that's just how I am, and suggests there's something wrong with me. :laugh3:

Well I read a fic once Guy kills Jonny and Chris and at the end of it, it was like a movie.

And that surprised me.

Actually I didn't,

 

I hadnt the slightest clue about fanfics until I started reading them, and I was like "damn, this looks like a lot of fun," so I decided I would try my hand at writing something, and I found it fun :D

And I got hooked. :awesome:

Do you read any other kind of fan fiction, or just CP related stuff?

I read bits and bobs of other bands but nothing much,

I glimpsed at the different stories on shows I didn't even think had fanfic written about them!

But mostly I stick to Coldplay, :D

I listen to this guy on YouTube, whose channel is called Brendanielreads, and he looks for, and reads aloud, some of the worst/disturbing/grammatically butchered fics. out there. Including My Immortal.

 

You should check him out, his soothing voice takes the pain away,(but not entirely) ;)

 

But his channel is the only other place I've heard fan fics that are non-CP related. I had a brief look at FanFiction.net last night, but they didn't have a music section, so I quickly lost interest. :dozey:
