Okay,Joe's song might sound a bit similar to Coldplay's Viva,But like the boys said any similarities in songs are complete accidents! And anyway,Joe's "If I Could Fly" Is really cheesy! But what I wanted to talk about was the fact that there are many Coldplay songs that artist have stolen ideas from. For example, has anybody else noticed that Kelly Rowland's new song "When Love Takes Over" sounds ALOT like Coldplay's song Clocks?

The fact is theres a big chance that songs are going to sound similar or have similar chords. There are billions of songs in the world and to single Coldplay out like that was ridiculous,Especially when Joe Satriani's song sounds similar to a song called "Frances Limon" by the band "Los Enanitos Verdes''.Anybody else know of songs that sound like they were stolen from Coldplay?

We heard about this a while ago. I will admit though, it does sound extremily similiar

JC, all they have in common are downward three note arpeggios, there's no patent on that. Chords, melody, rythm, everything else is completely different.

Yeah, this was posted a while back.....

But yes, I have to admit it does sound a lot like Clocks. But, oh well..... I am tired of hearing the word plagiarism.........

This song is pretty good xD

i already noticed, some of my friends to. but it's just that beginning part. the rest of the songs doenst even sound the same. but there are so many songs that have coldplay elements in it. i just see it that they use coldplay as an inspiration source, when you look it that way, it's a big compliment to the boys :) anyone agree?

The Oracle answered a while back a question regarding this song... she said that they asked Coldplay permission or something like that. So technically itsn't plagarism

Kelly's song is so banal and sounds like anything else on TOP 40.

Coldplay's clocks is gold.

Noticed this a while back and brushed it off because it was such a horrible song..

That's what I was trying to get across,But it didn't work out so well.

I was just using her song as an example that artists get inspiration from other artist's music. That doesn't make it plagiarism,That's what I was trying to say.:\

^i think its because of the title and this sentence: But what I wanted to talk about was the fact that there are many Coldplay songs that artist have stolen ideas from. if you change stolen ideas into inspiration, it looks very different. is guess people misunderstood you :)
