You would think you would ban such articles but you have to leave it to a sensible moderator who finds no place for provocation and insulting articles directed towards a single member of the forums. In other words you are not doing your job. It seems perhaps Kite is the only mod who will not tolerate such things.

Yes, surely nobody could be that stupid not to.

Just a few days a thread simply entitled "Why is it so peaceful on the board?" was removed, when it didn't mention any name at all, so there doesn't seem to be any consistency for some reason.:dozey:

Do you have enough privileges to delete a thread? Because if that's the case, then no one asked you.

Exactly. And it's amazing that despite their indifferences with another Mark, moderators like Lore do not delete such suggestive and provocative threads. As a moderator you are doing an extremely poor job. In fact, given their status on this forum, they have acted the most immature out of a select few of silly little people.

 

All I've ever asked for is consistency. The point is that in the last week or so there were threads referring to "Nathan" or "Victor" (not created by me, incidentally), plus another one referring simply to "peace on the board" which were immediately removed by a mod (I have no idea which one).

However, when threads clearly referring to me were created, not only were they not removed (in spite of numerous complaints made about them), there were mods who actually participated in them.

That is clearly unfair whatever way you look at it. Either you have to allow all of them (which would be pretty daft) or none at all.

Rick is a mod on another board, and he said that on there such threads would have been removed immediately and the obscene language would have been quickly dealt with too.;)

I didn't see a single complain about any of those threads, 0 reports. If the complaints were made in private, then we can't do anything about it.

The only German mod is Julia, and I am not aware of her having acted improperly. I have spoken to her via PM and I have no reason not to believe what she said.;)

I won't comment on who didn't take action, but I will say that David's behaviour has been exemplary throughout and I think he has acted like a "model" mod.

He will definitely be getting my vote for "Best Staff Member", and I would recommend that everyone else votes for for him too.;)

I am aware of one particular thread you removed (which was openly slanderous) as Ian informed me about it, but I have also seen you "participate" in some since, when they were clearly provocative.;)

I know that I pressed the "abusive post" button on a number of occasions, and I know of several people that complained about the threads in some shape or form, so I can only conclude there must be some kind of "gremlin" in the works.

If that's the case, it needs to be sorted out.

I would also be very interested to know who directly complained about a thread referring to "peace on the board", as I find that very hard to believe.;)
