Best Closing Tracks

Featured Replies

did somebody mention Tomorrow Never Knows?

I believe not. Regrattably everyone thinks of A Day in the Life as best closing track by the Beatles on this question.

^^

interesting. that was my only criticism of the album, that the tracks were a little out of place. otherwise its one of the best albums i've ever heard (Jonny Greenwood says that too, so it must be right) when i get the chance i'll post on the GB appreciation thread what i think the track listing should of been

haha... well if Jonny Greenwood says so!! I dunno, I mean, I personally liked how the tracks flowed together when i listen to the whole CD.

Maybe I Live With You... it's a strong track... I could've dug that being the ending track... but somehow Foreground is fine where it is, that's all I have to say about that, like I said... personally, I liked the way the album flowed as a whole.

Every single Radiohead album has a perfect closing track in my opinion, yes, including Pablo Honey.

I LOVE "Volcano" by Beck at the end of Modern Guilt.

A Day in the Life

Champagne Supernova

Lover's Day and Wash the Day (TV on the Radio)

yeah radiohead seem to be the masters of the closing track. which is why they'll most probably go down as one of the best "album" album bands ever. pearl jam are also great with it.

Release off Ten

Indifference off Vs

Around the Bend off No Code

Great Thread, I need to think a lot about it, you guys have posted excellent choices!

Radiohad, Coldplay, Stone Roses, Pink Floyd, Grizzly Bear, Wolf Parade...

But I haven't seen yet Sigur Rós, and I agree, their closing tracks are not that good. Except Untitled 8 from (), which is beyond epic, I'm amazed no one has mentioned it! It's more than what most post rock bands have been trying to achieve, I can only think of a few songs as great as that one. But that's the first that came to mind, I'll make a list later.

Edit: Stupid me did not see second page
