I nearly got killed by a bear while camping.

Well it's actually a really crazy story. About two weeks ago I found out I have a half-brother named Tommy. It was really awkward when our families tried to meet up and put us together. We were talking and discovered that we both really love the outdoors. So we scheduled a trip and just me and him went camping this past week.

 

Of course on Thursday we were kind of lost and we actually ran into a bear (which is ironic because we were joking about how in movies people always get eaten by bears). Anyway, we had a little food and it evidently was hungry, we thought if we ignored it it wouldn't come after us, but after a minute it looked up at us and came towards us. The thing was huge, they're actually a lot bigger in person than they seem. A big brown bear. We were scared shitless so we threw some bread at it and walked quickly away, and it followed us for a bit. By the time we found our way back to his car, the bear was right on us. We got in and it stared at us for a few minutes before heading off. Still, I was sure it was gonna attack us, I've never been so scared.

That's not even the craziest part though. You probably wouldn't even believe what happened on Friday.

Well we were on the long drive home, and I got a call from my mom. She tells me that there was some mix-up, and me and Tommy and are not even related at all! We spent almost a week together camping talking about how cool it was to have a new brother, and it turns out we're not even related! We were both kinda disappointed but we both still wanted to be friends.

 

So we got home to the families, and they had a huge fight. Tommy's dad had tried to make the whole thing up to gyp money out of my parents! We got back and Tommy's dad and my dad had gotten into a fist fight. My dad got his ass handed to him I'm sad to say. The cops ended up coming and resolving the whole issue and Tommy's family had to leave the state and not try to contact my family again. So I haven't heard from Tommy since because technically we're not allowed to talk so I can't call him.

 

It was family craziness but I guess the bear attacking us was a bit scarier.
