^ Yep, and I voted as such. :nice: I'm not totally scot-free, though, because I did happen to inherit my mother's astigmatism. :\

... then don't you should be wearing them?

one of my cousins should were them but she refuses to do so :\ she doesn't find it "cool", oh c'mon is not a matter of be cool or uncool is your health.

Well, astigmatism is just an irregular curvature in the eye. It's not really detrimental to your sight at all. I can see just fine. It's just that the outlines of things can seem slightly blurry to me, and if I read or sit at the computer or something like that for a long time, my eyes hurt more.

that don't seem good... but well is your choice.

i remember when i firstly noticied my sight was not ok, it was when i watched tv and i saw the screen a bit blurry, i went to the doctor and said, i didn't needed glasses at all... then finally i convinced her to check it better and then ta dah, i needed glasses (for near distances)

this summer i noticied it again, it didn't saw distances/volumes from far so well and went to be checked again, result was +1 in each eye, i'm kinda scared it goes worst honestly :worried:

Well, when I said "slightly," I meant that it's really a minute difference. I've tested my eyes with the traditional Snellen chart; I can actually read the very bottom line on it, so my sight is actually very good.

I know, especially since my mom has very bad eyesight. (She's nearsighted and wears bifocals. :( )

Glasses!!! Started wearing them today... :(

My old math teacher had to wear hard contact lenses and glasses at the same time.

poor guy.

me,

i wear contact lenses.. but i forget to put them on :disappointed:

aaand, i had glasses before, to wear sometimes, but.. some guy had them & i never got them back,

they were so pretty.. aaah, i miss my glasses.. :bigcry:

I have glasses but wear lenses on occasions like concerts or when I know it'll be safer to not wear glasses like when I work at a party...

I wore contact lenses every day for about 3 years, then went back to wearing glasses.

Once I swallowed a 100€ (two-year) contact lens with my muesli... didn't realise it fell out!!

I wear glasses.

Been wearing them since 6th grade.

Just for reading and computers and all that fun stuff, but I've gotten used to them. :D

so you use glasses usually?

you didn't got used to the contact lenses? :uhoh:

i'd like to try contact lenses one day but i fear i won't get used to it. :\

No, lenses are fine!

It's just more expensive and I'm too lazy to wear them every day. :P

It's a bit tricky at the beginning to get them inside but soon afterwards it's no problem at all. Don't be afraid to try them!

Here they usually have free trial boxes for daily contact lenses.

Try those and then you can always decide if you want to wear them permanently or just for special occasions.

When I wore them all the time I had 2-year-lenses. Means you have to take good care of them but they are better for your eyes, you won't be tired easily / have dry eyes the better the oxygen permeability is.

I'm stuck in glasses for probably the rest of my life...:shame:... :P

How come? Have they been surgically attached to your head?:P

Glasses, but I don't like to wear them that much in extremely social environments because then they make me self-conscious.

I want laser eye surgery

ALSO I tried contact lenses when I was 14 but the lens didn't fit the shape of my eyes properly, hurt, made my eyes water and eventually cry because it hurt too much. Also the lady who had me that day was a total bitch about it. I haven't seen her work there since tho.

So the two of you didn't see eye-to-eye??

No, I suppose not. She was like "CONTACT LENSES, YOU WANNA TRY?" Then when I told her a) they hurt b) I couldn't do the stupid thumb thing she was doing because my thumbnails were short and my thumbs didn't work that way she took them out and was like "you're not ready, off you go". Bitch, didn't even comfort me about my pain.

She was obviously blind to your problems................ :dozey:

Not blind, just a bit ignorant and wanted to have her shift over, I think.

Well it sounds like it was soon over permanently, anyway!:P
