It's a surprise for me, I really don't know nothing about Ukraine! But I need to think it's different for a person who lives in the country and a person that only listen about, and lives miles and miles away. For other side I remember in my geography classes, that these countries of east Europe suffer with wars, and with the ethnic question. I'm very curious with these countries, Ukraine for example. I really wanted to know it.:nice:

exactly! no one really knows why I hate living so much here. But let's start from the beginning:

I love living in Europe, and I wouldn't like to move away from here, but not in Romania. The western countries - UK, France, Germany, Benelux - are very developed, and they have a normal administration. But these countries in the east are similar as you say. I can't really talk about Ukraine, or other countries, but I know what's happening here, in Romania. And the biggest problem is the ethnic question. About 90% of the people are ethnically Romanian, but Hungarians and Gypsies make up the largest minorities. And there was always a conflict between Hungarians and Romanians - for example Transylvania, the biggest part of Romania which belonged once to Hungary, and that's why there are so many Hungarians here (I'm also one of them!) If you want to know more about Gypsies, you should google it or something, because it's a tender spot for us, you know.. :laugh3: Romania it's like 100 years further back than the other countries in the west.

That's why I hate living here, and I don't like when people who don't know anything about Romania call me a gypsy, or 'filthy romanian'. I'm not gypsy in any way, and I'm not even Romanian...

Sorry for the very long reply

well you also have some fucking great bands, so that balances it out quite nicely! ;)

that's true.

Everytime someone mentions Mew now my hear skips ten beats, they'll be infront of me in 24 hours :bomb:

Lucky lucky you :wacky:

Transylvania! The land of Dracula!! I researched "gypsy" in google but I don't found in portuguese, only english...

Ohh, the ethnic question is really complicated. I study geography in the university and I like the theme. Here we don't have nothing about that, but we've themes like the concentration of lands, a theme very important because Brazil is very big, but it's a country totally unequal. Many people live in the streets while the lands stays empty in the hands of landowners and corrupt politicians. Here, the money is concentrated in only 10% of the population, and the rest lives in difficulty, some full of debts, other in the poverty, other without anything.:veryangry2:

It's funny that where I live there's quite alot of people who are half finnish and half swedish, and they are often dissed and treated in a very different way then just finnish people. then I go to a school that is swedish speaking because it's a finnish-swedish school and I go to a english speaking IB line there, so we are like..the freaks there though most of us are swedish-finnish or just finnish, we are the weirdos of the school :P like for example when we had a school party a year ago and the cops came there and someone had drugs on or something and the cops were looking for the people with drugs and someone ran into the forest and all the swedish-finnish people screamed "IT'S THEM IT'S THE IB PEOPLE WHO RAN TO THE FOREST THEY ALWAYS HAVE THE DRUGS" and it wasn't even one of us :P

okay sorry I got a little distracted here and I forgot my point and what was so funny in the beginning  oh well.....I blame the fact that it's so late

people should just ignore this post, I'm off now :awesome:

Yes, everyone knows Transylvania because of Dracula :laugh3: Really?? I didn't know that about Brazil. I always thought Brazil is a rich country, where people don't have problems with debts, or poverty. It's great that there are coldplayers from every part of the world, 'cause I was always interested in geography, and I really care about what's happening in other countries.
