HorrificAttack, that's the worst post ever, how can you say our songs that we haven't even finished yet suck if you haven't listened to any of them yet. And do you even know what a gig means? Our school organised a show and asked us to play for it. We did, and how weird... the crowd loved it. We asked a bunch of people for their opinion and well guess what... they found it amazing as well!

Look if you guys aren't going to do anything useful for us or to help us get better, then I don't see why you should keep posting bull on this thread. I suggest you leave, you did what you had to do and I thank you for that! (I'm being way over sarcastic, in case you didn't notice.)

In the meantime, we will keep posting videos and we will get better eventually with experience.

Look, if you can't take criticism, maybe you are in the wrong game, people are always going to criticise your work, although this isn't even your work, so you have none of the creative love for what you are playing, you are just regurgitating other peoples feelings and singing them, that's just wrong.

And if you want to be able with other people in music bizz. you should learn to take criticism.

Being a cover band is just a bad idea. I've been there. Starting off as a cover band is just stifling creativity and originality. Do you own thing and create your own music with your own style, don't start off using someone elses material. The name, i'm sorry, but it's awful. Good name's are hard to come by but spend the time to come up with something half decent, half passable and you'll be glad you did.

HorrificAttack, when someone close to you passes away, it sure does change your personality.

musically it's not so bad, but vocally I don't feel that the lower register works as well.

 

I also think that if you are looking for support it should be for original material. Personally there are very few cover's/cover bands I support simply because all they have to do is find out how to play the songs. I have much more respect if you write your own material.

Yeah I know eh? We practiced last week and most of the new songs including the ones that we will write sound alot better in the high register. Since I have a very low voice, what we do know is that we adjust the pitchm so that I can sing in the high register instead of the lower, you know so that the song has more emotion and so it becomes less monotone. I dont know if you understand what I mean though ahah. Thanks for the tip!

and yes definitely, Keane is just amazing! Almost the same style as Coldplay but not as good.

I recommend Somewhere Only We Know and Everybody's Changing for a start. :D
