1) The Van Jets

Won humo’s rock rally 2004 ( a competition for new bands that is held every 2 years buy the magazine humo), they have 2 albums ‘our love = strong 2007’ and ‘The Futere 2009’

5) Absynthe Minded

It was fist a one-man band but lead singer Bert Ostyn dicided form a band in 2002, ended second in humo’s rockrally 2004 (the van jets won) they already have 4 albums which is quite a lot for such a young band ‘Acquired tast’ was released in 2004 and only one year later ‘new day’, in 2007 they brought out ‘there is nothing’ and last year ‘Absynthe minded’ the last album was a huge success in belguim

7) The Black Box revelation

Where second at humo’s rock rally 2006 (the hicky underworld won but they are in part 2 I think :dizzy:) there are only 2 members in the band but they make a heck a lot noice :lol: they have 2 albums ‘set your head on fire 2007’ and ‘silver threats’ the new York times wrote this about them in 2007

 

“The Black Box Revelation is two Belgian teenagers, Jan Paternoster on guitar and Dries van Dijck on drums, whose debut album, “Set Your Head on Fire” (Beverly Martel/T for Tunes), stomps its way toward garage-rock and proto-punk, with Mr. Paternoster yowling like Iggy Pop or Mick Jagger and calling for love. Every so often they strip the music down to something slow and bluesy. But the Black Box Revelation isn’t purely retro. I saw them live once, it was during some sort of award show so the bands only played a few song but A.M were the last band and they played about 6 I think, but my stupid father didn't want to stay to the end 'cause we had to catch an early train that we wouldn't be in the mass of people :angry I missed My heroics part one and plane song :angry: I'm still mad :P

but still they play SO good live :wacky:
