Panning vocals???

Featured Replies

Hey all.

I'm on Garageband at the moment and I'm working with (probably the stereo mix of) Blue Jay Way by The Beatles, and I want the vocals in both left and right channels, but the vocals are panned right, and the rest are left.

My question is, how can I center the vocals, or make a new track with them panned the opposite side?

Do you get what I mean?

And I've also got Audacity and an expired trial version of Ableton Live something or other.

hmm... could you possibly pan the track to the left and the right so that way the same vocals are appearing in both ears which would ultimately give a center sound?

The vocals are panned to the right in the audio track (without my panning) and if I pan to another side, I'll only get the instrumental tracks, the point in this is to only get the vocal track, without the rest of the instruments in both channels

Record it from your soundcard in mono, should do the trick...
