June 4, 201016 yr I have recently found out that in Death and All his friends, Johnny uses a Boss RV-5. I was wondering if a Behringer digital reverb would do the same and get that coldplay, alternative sound? Here's a link to see all the modes etc. http://www.zzounds.com/item--BEHDR600 [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHofOkxwafk]YouTube- A Rush of Blood To The Head (Live) - Coldplay cover (HQ Version)[/ame]
June 4, 201016 yr Author The kid in the video I think uses a Behringer Reverb? That's why I showed it in my post.
June 4, 201016 yr I use the rv-5, a mode called "modulation", if that reverb has the same then by all means go for it.
June 5, 201016 yr The kid in the video I think uses a Behringer Reverb? That's why I showed it in my post. That 'Kid' is me! :wacky: There I'm actually using a Digitech Reverb on Hall setting. On my channel I have an older cover of the same song. In that cover I'm using the Behringer Reverb with a Hall reverb.
June 5, 201016 yr TyM218-Thanks mate! yellowtalk-ah-nice one!. And cheers on the video! No worries man :-) Back to your original question. Really any sort of Reverb will allow for that 'alternative' sound. It's just when you want to get a really really complex/unique tone like Jonny do you want to have a BOSS RV-5 or RV-5 at hand. Really my cover of AROBTTH isn't the closest to his sound. However, I guess that's why it's a cover. That being said, Tyler (TyM218) I reckon you'd get a much closer sound to the Live 2003 version of AROBTTH using the RV-5 on Modulation setting. Have you experimented at all?
