I had a quiet day: I did some shopping and had tea on my verandah with my neighbour, I read text-TV and found some info for the humanitarian thread about natural disasters - the wildfires in Russia and the floods in Pakistan - and to some degree also in Afghanistan. I saw BARNABY - he is a policeman - for 1½ hours. And I have been on coldplaying.com in between.

On 14 August I am going to Vejle, where I have booked a hotel for 3 nights, because

 

ON 15 AND 16 AUGUST I'M FUNCTIONING AS ONE of many VOLUNTEERs FOR the organization ONE (i.a. founded by BONO) on the occasion of the two U2 concerts in Horsens. This also means that I am able to watch U2 in concert - LIVE (and not on TV). I am very excited and looking forward to this. I am going back on 17 August. The aim of ONE is to get U2 concert-goers to sign a piece of paper to put pressure on the politicians not to forget the promises and pledges they made in July 2005.

Yes, I quite like the idea of helping ONE and at the same time of getting the opportunity to watch U2 in concert - on both 15 and 16 August.

 

Last year, on 16 August Coldplay was in Herning, and I also saw Coldplay at the Roskilde festival on 5 July 2009.

 

So 2009 was Coldplay year for me, and 2010 is U2 year for me when it comes to concerts.
