The thing I found hardest to get at first are all the different verb endings for you,us,we etc and masculine and feminine for objects which English doesn't have, I think Spanish has them too?.

yes i know those two things are hard for english speakers.

that's due to our language comes from latin, as latin verbs have that aswell.

verb part allows us to not need to use the pronoun on every sentence, as we know the genre and person depending on the end of the verb.

for instance: yo bailo, el baila (i dance, he dances)

mientras baila bajo la luna (while (he) dances under the moon)

aswell i noticied the person "you" is hard to understand for english, cause we use it for singular and plural.

you study = tú estudias (singular) / vostros estudiaís (plural)

you are right about the genre, some nouns have both genres but some haven't, some nouns even change their meaning depending on the genre, and even there's a neutral genre for some nouns.

there are 'trick's to learn them. (most female words end with -a, male with -o and neutral with -e).

table = la mesa / libro = book / president = el/la presidente

anyways all gets better with practice :) as my uni lecturers said:

what takes to learn a language is to not be ashamed.

some my mates were :embarrassed: to speak as they feared they will pronounce badly or something.

You're right, it take a while to get used to for English speakers but I understand the concept, I guess you probably find how some things are done in English a bit different and strange too?, although many people who have learnt English not as their first Language have said it's easier to learn than others.

well first language i learn really was valencià, but is kinda a dilect here as is pretty similar to spanish, and i learnt it as a kid when watching tv.

but yes i find english is easier, but for it simplicity it makes it a bit complex to adapt some forms to our grammar, as the word order and so on, and off course subjuntive tense :o

i think it helps a lot the fact we start learning it around since we are 6 (now 3), so when you get to uni you've been learning it for +10 years, so obviously our level should be good, althoght sadly in a lot of cases i know it doesn't happen.

another matter was when we started learning french, we knew some grammar concepts better so it was easier to understand it, at least for me, although i found some parts hard to learn at first (pronouns, some complex verb tenses) -just took me a week to learn those anyways :p -

French is indeed hard to learn even it was my first foreign language because the way you make sentences is an other way than you do in Dutch

That's not because i'm the last to take a shower, well yeah sometimes but it's another problem now, the head of the shower (i don't know the word) fucked up so there is almost no pressure, I feel like I take a shower with my pee.
